Liberals Destroy Homeless Town

More hypocrisy from Silicon Valley

Uber-hip and rich San Jose, Ca., just ripped down the  nation’s largest homeless community –a 68-acre shantytown called “The Jungle.”

It was built along a stream called Coyote Creek and featured lean-tos, underground bunkers and a tree house.

The city was pushed to act by the rotting trash that piled up not to mention the rats and human waste.

And the action appears appropriate and necessary.

But why did they allow it to build up in the first place? And could you image the scorn the residents of San Jose would heap on a Texas or Pennsylvania community compelled to act in the same way?

Apartments now average $2,633 per month in the San Jose region up from $1,761 two years earlier. The median home price is nearly $700,000

The area has about 7,600 homeless with about 75 percent sleeping outside on sidewalks, in parks and under freeway embankments even before their shantytown was destroyed. It’s a greater percentage than any other U.S. metropolitan area.

In a fit of liberal guilt, San Jose spent $4 million to get housing for 144 of them. Nice job. Now just 7,456 to go.

Google Democrat Tool

The Democrats have named uber-billionaire plutocrat Eric Scmidt to its election post-mortem group, Bloomberg.com has revealed.

It’s just something for those of you not inclined to automatically push the D button to think about the next time you use a Google product.

Do you really want the enemy to track your every move?

During the midterm election cycle, Schmidt donated $60,000 to Democratic congressional candidates and chipped in $250,000 to Senate Majority PAC.

We guess the joke is on the OWS types who voted for Obama et al to stick it Wall Street and the “crony capitalists”.

We suggest that for searches one use DuckDuckGo. Their politics may not be the same as ours but truthfully we don’t know as they don’t make an issue of it. Regardless, they don’t track you.

Further, they are based in the neighborhood, Paoli, so that’s a bonus.

For web browsing, avoid Chrome. We use Firefox. If you can’t overlook their recent political cravenness, try Opera or stick to Safari if you have a Mac.

But don’t give aid and comfort to something that is obviously the opponent of freedom and a friend to feudalists

EPA Pays Salaries To Non-Workers

The Daily Signal reports that from fiscal years 2011 to 2013 the Environmental Protection Agency paid $17,550, 100 in paid administrative leave salaries for 69 employees.

Beside the full salaries, these workers also got health benefits, and the leave counted towards their pensions.

Oh, and they also continued to climb the federal pay scale.

They also got vacations and sick days which leads us to the Zen question “Can you get vacation when you are on vacation?”

One of the workers was on paid leave for over four years, The Daily Signal said. He or she should certainly send a thank you note to President Obama.

Pretty sweet.

Paid administrative leave is supposed to be a punishment.

Who says the federal government can’t be cut?
