Thomas William Lawson William Lawrence Sr Omnibit 7-13-18

Businessman and author Thomas William Lawson had a best selling book in 1907 called Friday the Thirteenth. It involved an unscrupulous stockbroker taking advantage of the superstition to create a Wall Street panic. Some say it is the book that actually made the superstition part of popular lore in the U.S.  Say thank you, Jason.

You can read Lawson’s book here for free.

Moral virtues William Lawrence Sr Cryptowit 7-13-18 Sing ye to the Lord a new canticle: sing to the Lord, all the earth. Sing ye to the Lord and bless his name: shew forth his salvation from day to day. PsalmsAnswer to yesterday’s William Lawrence Sr Cryptowit quote puzzle: The moral virtues, then, are produced in us neither by nature nor against nature. Nature, indeed, prepares in us the ground for their reception, but their complete formation is the product of habit.
Aristotle
