Margaretha von Waldeck was the daughter of Philip IV, Count of Waldeck-Wildungen and Margaret Cirksena, who was his first wife. Margaretha was renowned for her beauty. She died at age 21 in the court of Mary of Hungary.
She was thought to have been poisoned. Some think she was the inspiration for Snow White. No, her stepmom, Katharina vo Hatzfeld was not a suspect. Her father did own a copper mine, however, and many of the workers were children who were about the size of dwarfs.
