The FBI was started by Napoleon’s grand-nephew.
Attorney General Charles Joseph Bonaparte founded it in 1908 as the Bureau of Investigation.
He was the grandson of Jerome Bonaparte who was Napoleon’s youngest brother and King of Westphalia.
Bonaparte disliked technology. He refused to have electricity in his Maryland home and used a horse-drawn coach until his death in 1921. The home would eventually fall into the possession of Irish bootleggers and burn down due to faulty wiring.
