Riddlewood-Sunnybrae's Happy Indepencence Day

Riddlewood-Sunnybrae Community Association's 50th Annual Independence Day celebration held Saturday July 3 was a huge success with neighbors and community friends attending the 3 hour event at the ball fields on War Trophy Lane, Middletown, Delaware County, Pa. John Sweeney hosted the water balloon toss, Karen Bartowski the peanut scramble, Christine Gallo organized the pie eating contest and Anthony Lombardo was the emcee. Maria Crann was a judge for the crab, 3-legged and potato sack races. The Springton Lake Community Choir  was led by instructor Diane Lombardo.

Lucky young residents were treated to boat rides sans water around the neighborhood courtesy of volunteers from Lenni Heights Fire Co.

Volunteers from the Riddlewood-Sunnybrae Community Association's Independence Day celebration are: (back) Kate Rainey, Dan Marmer, Maria Crann, Uncle Sam (aka Mike Rainey), Chris Gilligan, John Sweeney, Anthony Lombardo; (middle) Tammy Baillis, Dina Sullivan, Steve Jones, of Garden Care Landscaping and sponsor of event, Jennifer Gilligan, Gail Fine, Diane Lombardo and (front) Christine Gallo.

Displaying the most patriotic bike is Louis Gallo at Riddlewood's Independence Day Bash in Middletown Township, Delaware County, PA.
