Hunting Ground Concerns College Rape

The National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC) will partner with Oscar-nominated filmmakers Kirby Dick and Amy Ziering and their film “The Hunting Ground” to increase awareness around preventing sexual violence on college campuses, according to Adam Kulikowski of the Center. The collaboration coincides with the start of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, a national prevention campaign facilitated annually by NSVRC. Hunting Ground Concerns College Rape

To kick off their partnership, NSVRC and “The Hunting Ground” — along with co-sponsors Women Organized Against Rape and the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape — will host a panel discussion after a  showing of the film at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 3, at the Landmark Ritz Five Theatre, 214 Walnut St., Philadelphia. The panel discussion will feature the film’s producer, Ms.  Ziering, and state and local experts.

“The Hunting Ground,” which concerns sexual assault on U.S. campuses, has received more than two thousand requests from colleges and universities to host screenings of the film.

“‘The Hunting Ground’ is a powerful documentary that underscores the widespread problem of campus sexual assault,” NSVRC Director Karen Baker said.

Sexual Assault Awareness Month is observed every April. Free resources for parents, students, health care professionals, and members of the campus community are available at nsvrc.org.

Sexual Violence Guide For Judges

Adam Kuklikowski of Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape informs us that the third edition of Benchbook on Crimes of Sexual Violence in Pennsylvania by Superior Court Judge Jack Panella is  available and can be found online here. Sexual Violence Guide For Judges

The book is a guide for  judges in handling crimes of sexual violence and addresses the steps of sex offense cases. It also includes detailed information regarding preliminary arraignments and hearings, standards of proof and the setting of bail and bail conditions to ensure the safety of victims and witnesses.

The guidelines are reasonable and the Commonwealth can take pride in its rape laws.

There are some issues, though, namely in Chapter 1 “The Dynamics of Sexual Violence Crimes.” For instance  Section 5 “False Reporting”  has the subhead “Reality: Statistically, very few people lie about being raped”. Why would that pointless yet prejudicial phrase be in a benchbook for judges? How about “Reality: Statistically, very few people lie about being robbed”? Or “Reality: Statistically, very few people lie about being beaten to where they can’t walk for a month”?

We suspect that the reality is that  “statistically” there are more people who lie about being raped than being victims of other crimes. There are female sociopaths out there as well as male ones, after all, and we don’t want to throw out the presumption of innocence.

The subhead for Section 6 is Realty: “The overwhelming majority of sexual assaults are perpetrated against women.” The section then goes on to say “It is difficult to determine the number of male victims of sexual violence for a variety of reasons.” So, how do you know what the reality is Judge Panella? The words in the subhead say “perpetrated against” not “reported by”.  That particular bit is sloppy writing and sloppy thinking. And, again, what is the point of even mentioning it?

Otherwise — and we confess that we did not read all 742 pdf pages — it seems a useful and valuable tool.

Kevin Kimmel Saves Captive Woman

Chalk this under the category that there is a lot of sick stuff out there you just don’t think goes on. Trucker Kevin Kimmel was sitting in his rig at the Pilot Flying J Travel Center in Providence Forge, Va.  and saw a frightened young girl looking out the window of an RV with black drapes.

Other activity led to further suspicion and he called 911. Authorities found an Iowa couple — Aldair Hodza and Laura Sorenson — and the girl, who was actually age 20. She showed signs of being tortured with puncture wounds on the tops of her feet consistent with nails being hammered into her flesh and numerous burns on her abdomen, groin and back consistent with being struck and stamped with a hot metal key.

Hodza and Ms. Sorenson are facing federal charges of sex trafficking by force, fraud and coercion, according to CBS Richmond affiliate WTVR.

Kimmel said he is the father and grandfather of daughters and wasn’t going to let things pass.

Males Rape More Likely In Military

More than half the victims of sexual assault in the U.S. military are men, according to the Pentagon, and sexual assaults on males occur 38 times  a day in the services.

It should be noted that the perpetrators are invariably other men.

The premise of the gay rights movement is that those who desire same sex are born that way and have no interest in  relations with those who aren’t.

The premise obviously has severe holes. Strangely, pointing them out is harshly discouraged by our information gatekeepers. A young man expressing a concern about this, in fact, will face condemnation for being “homophobic.”

Well, it looks like the phobia has a pretty strong foundation.

GQ.com has a difficult to read article about male rape in the military.  The stories concern incidents before Obama changed the “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy against the recommendation of many experts.

And further, most — albeit not all — of the stories concern peer-on-peer assaults rather than intimidation or coercion by commanders, which may be the biggest concern about those who object to the change in policy.

Still the long-accepted myth that is the basis of the gay rights movement should now be considered to be definitively debunked.

Hillary Smeared 12 Year Old Rape Victim

In 1975, Hillary Clinton,  then Hillary Rodham , accepted Thomas Alfred Taylor as her client. Taylor was accused of raping a 12-year-old girl.

Miss Rodham got his first degree rape charge knocked down to unlawful fondling of a child and Taylor ended up spending less than a year in county prison.

She did this by telling the judge that the girl had an infatuation with older men and had lied in the past about sexual assault.

The girl grew to be a troubled woman and found herself in prison not that long ago. She was approached by Glen Thrush , a reporter from Newsday, in 2008 and shown the affidavit Miss Rodham submitted. It was the first time she had seen it as the case never went to trial and she was a minor.

The revelation shocked her according to the Thrush. She had never before accused anyone of sexual assault. She did not fantasize about older men.

Apparently, the woman who wants to be queen made the whole thing up and a destroyed a young girl.

In the 1980s, Mrs. Clinton discussed the matter with a reporter which was recorded on tape. She said her client passed a lie detector test.

“(It)  forever destroyed my faith in polygraphs,” she said laughing.

Taylor, who has died, was alive at the time. Of course, if Mrs. Clinton was willing to crush a young girl to advance her career why should she care about attorney-client privilege?

It’s hard to imagine Mrs. Clinton as a worse president than Barack Obama but one can’t see her being much better either.

The Democrat Party is the home of sociopaths who have no problem selling the rest of us if it advances themselves.

There are the Clintons, and there is Obama who ignored problems at the VA even when vets were dying and who sicced the IRS on his critics.  There is John “Jenghis Khan” Kerry who made up stories about Vietnam making himself a hero and everyone else a monster. There is Al Gore who parlayed a global warming scam into a TV network which he sold to oil-rich Arabs for a half-billion bucks so they can spread the propaganda of Al Jazeera.

Just keep telling yourself character doesn’t matter in our leaders and continue to vote Democrat. Try not to think of the children while doing so, however. You would find sleeping difficult if you should.

Sports Official Sex Abuse HB 112

Sports Official Sex Abuse HB 112State Rep. Jim Cox (R-129) reports that House Bill 112, which would make it a crime for a sports official, volunteer or employee of a nonprofit association to commit acts of sexual assault against children, is now before the Senate.

The House passed it 197-0.

“There is no current provision of law that specifically addresses sexual misconduct with a child by a person who has the influence and access that a sports official or person performing charitable services has,” says Cox.

Well, that certainly seems to be a rather glaring oversight in our law.

The third-degree felony would be applied when that person engages in sexual intercourse, deviate sexual intercourse or indecent contact with a child who is participating in a sports program of the nonprofit or for-profit association, Cox said. The penalty would hold a maximum of seven years imprisonment and a $15,000 fine.

For the record, sexual assault of a child whether it be by a sports official, volunteer etc. is a pretty serious existing crime and we have no idea as to how this bill would make children any safer. Still, there is no way we would vote against it if we were in the House.

Victims Voice Bill On Governor’s Desk

Victims Voice Bill On Governor’s Desk — A bill to give crime victims a voice during the parole process of an inmate is now on the governor’s desk, reports State Rep. Jim Cox (R-129).

House Bill 492 would change the Crime Victims’ Act to allow a victim or victim representative to appear personally before the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole and provide testimony in connection with an inmate’s application for parole. The bill would make it clear that the decision of victims or their representatives to appear and be heard by the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole is up to them, not the board. Additionally, the bill would allow victims or their representatives to appear by any electronic means made available by the board, such as video conference, if they elect to do so.

If signed by the governor, the law would take effect Sept. 1.

Military Sexual Assault Epidemic

Military Sexual Assault Epidemic — The Pentagon’s report showing that sexual assaults are up 30 percent since 2010 under the Obama administration has the Washington establishment upset and confused.

What isn’t being much talked about is that 14,000 of the sexual assaults were committed on men by other men.

Expect more of that.
