Family Game Night at Holy Myrrh-BearersHoly Myrrh-Bearers Parish is having a family game night, Saturday, Oct. 8, following the 5 p.m. Liturgy.  Feel free to come out and spend time with your family, and with other families, in an evening of friendly game competition.

Feel free to bring your own special family game to this event.  Hot dogs will be available.

Curt Weldon Boosts Ukraine Conference  — Former Congressman Curt Weldon has sent us a note regarding a conference concerning the Ukraine, noon, Oct. 6 at Manor College in Jenkintown.

It’s free but RSVPs are requested and can be made here.

A lunch afterwards is $20.

Curt Weldon Boosts Ukraine Conference Topics are foreign policy and humanitarian efforts. Speakers include U.S. Congressman Michael Fitzpatrick, U.S. Congressman Brendan Boyle, Dr. Larissa Kyj,  former ambassador Roman Popadiuk, former Ukraine ambassador Yuriy Sergeyev, and Walter Zaryckyj, who is executive director of U.S./Ukraine relations.

Delaware County Patriots Picnic Sept. 25 — The Delaware County Patriots, a non-partisan organization that promotes government transparency and accountability, is holding a free picnic, 1 p.m., Sept. 25 at Pavilion 17, Ridley Creek State Park.

Valley Forge Prayer Event SaturdayValley Forge Prayer Event Saturday — Prayer for America will be held 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, July 23, at Washington Memorial Chapel on Route 23 in Valley Forge Park.

All are welcome and this is ample parking.

Lunch is available at the Cabin Shop and there is a picnic area adjacent to the chapel.

Opening salutation will be made by Rev. Roy Almquist.

WFYL Rally For America July 2— A Rally for America will be held 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., July 2 at the Conference Center at Valley Forge, 1485 Valley Forge Road, Phoenixville, Pa. 19460. WFYL Rally For America July 2

It is sponsored by WFYL 1180AM. The cost $10 which gives access to speakers and music along with the center’s pool or $14.50 which includes lunch.

Speakers are Steve Piotrowski, Stan Huberfel, Larry Denver, Zach Groff and Sandy Groff.

Piotrowski will describe the new Christian Liberty organization that he is launching and speak about our God-given rights, and revival.

Huberfel, an evangelist, will describe how reform starts in one’s heart not in a political party, church or committee. He will preach on 2 Chronicles 7:14;  1 Peter 4:17 and  James 1 : 22.

Zach Groff of Coalition of Christian Outreach will describe how our Founding Fathers felt about faith.

Denver of Faith and Freedom Coalition will discuss and the responsibilities as Judeo-Christian Citizens in the public square and address the question as to why religious leaders turn their backs on this important area.

Sandy Groff of Luther500 Broadcast will talk about radio pioneer Walter A Maier who encouraged people in the Lord and challenged them to stay true to the Word of God.  Sandy will present in the first person a series of very short stories of events not heard for 70 years.

Free Food At Dental Open House — A Philadelphia dental practice will combine patient healthy food information with new dental procedures at a free open house Saturday, June 25, 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Present will be Whitney Ingram, host of the weekly Philadelphia radio show, “Food Talk”.

It will be directed by Emily Fishman.

The play ponders the fate of newspapers in the 21st century.

Plot points include:

— The company again streamlines the workforce eliminating even more jobs.

— The company starts outsourcing their ad production to India.

— The company goes bankrupt and is force to sell to another hedge fund.
