Chesco Inquisition Closed? Not So Fast

Chesco Inquisition Closed? Not So Fast — Long-time Republican and Phoenixville election worker Paul Celentano missed the note that the Chester County Republican Party inquisition scheduled for Feb. 11 at party HQ on Church Street in West Chester so he went.

He was met by the county GOP Executive Director Laura Wagoner who explained that the event was cancelled but he couldn’t have attended anyway as it would have been a closed hearing. Chesco Inquisition Closed? Not So Fast

The hearing is suspected to have been an attempt to remove committeepeople  ane Ladley, Tom Ferro, Steve Mobley and Donna Ellingsen  who are accused of violating party bylaws for supporting candidates other than the nominated ones.

Mrs. Ladley is the Area 19 chairwoman.

Mrs. Ellingsen says that those accused have not consented to a closed hearing.

“We have specifically informed the Chesco GOP solicitor that we have nothing to hide behind closed doors,” she said.

  1. This sounds like good news. And I would think Val DiGiorgio and Alex Rahn would rather have the conservatives where they can watch them. Be careful. They are opportunists.

  2. Let me see if I have this straight. It is a hearing but a “closed” hearing. A gentleman who is a Chester County Republican election worker is told he can’t attend. Then who can attend –apparently not the media, not Republicans, not constituents of those accused.

Is this North Korea or Chester County (is there a difference)? Other than places like North Korea, we don’t see “closed” hearings, with certain exceptions like classified material is being discussed or it discloses confidential law-enforcement matters.

It is an outrage that the persons accused want an open hearing and the party bosses want to close it. What do they have to hide?

  3. I’ve been following this unfortunate development in Chester Co. I guess the perpetrators who think members who don’t agree with them should be lynched privately!!!! We wonder why people suspect ANYTHING political! What a prime example.
Been taking hints from the Democrats? HOPE GOOD MINDED REPUBLICANS STEP IN AND PUT A STOP TO THIS STELTH PROCEEDING.

    1. It is comical that you call this a “stealth” (correct spelling) proceeding when the Area 19 committee (four of which are the subject of the aforementioned hearing) won’t allow its own members to take away a copy of its meeting minutes. It should not surprise anyone that the very people who whine about transparency are ALWAYS the ones with the most to hide.

      1. Unless you are a member of the Area 19 Committee, you would not have known this info, so you are indeed confirming that someone(s) was leaking our discussion to people not on the Committee in order to sabotage our plans. Have the courage to admit what you were doing instead of hiding behind a pseudonym.

        1. Did Donna just admit that this was all planned. (sabotage our plans) By who, Donna and Jane or the area 19 republican committee. I guess she did not read the news paper article on 11-10-15 (election day debacle). It spoke about the minutes issue. This should be useful at her hearing.

      2. HAH! It’s taking everything in my power not to fall out of my chair laughing at this revelation.

If this is true, Bill Lawrence and Donna Ellingsen should be ashamed of themselves. What a double standard.

Donna’s comment below this says it all : “Unless you are a member of the Area 19 Committee, you would not have known this info, so you are indeed confirming that someone(s) was leaking our discussion to people not on the Committee in order to sabotage our plans.”

I hope FreedomLover sees this… “Is this North Korea or Chester County” — sounds like the Area 19 committee is just the same, or even worse, than the ChesCo GOP…

Not allowing members to take the MINUTES home from the meeting?? I heard Donna was giving out her faux-sample ballots at the polls and then taking them from voters when they were done…. which probably means she knew what she was doing was WRONG.
