Chesco Inquisition Postponed Again — The inquisition  being sought by the leaders of the Chester County Republican that appears to be part of a purge of anti-corruption activists has again been postponed this time at the request of party bosses

The most recent scheduling had been for Thursday, Feb. 11.

Four committeepeople —  Jane Ladley, Tom Ferro, Steve Mobley and Donna Ellingsen — are accused of violating party bylaws for supporting candidates other than the nominated ones.

Mrs. Ladley is the Area 19 chairwoman.

A new date is being sought.

  1. Thanks for keeping us posted.

Purge is a good descriptor. Maybe they should focus on encouraging people who are interested in Republican ideals and good government as opposed to running an organization that caters to the lobbyists, patronage employees and others just out for a buck!

      That’s worth repeating.

  2. Thanks for the update. One would think the ChesCo Republicans would be happy to have hard working activists who deliver votes for Republican candidates. Obviously, the DiGiorgio Four are conservatives working to advance Republican principles. Val DiGiorgio and his crony, Alex Rahn, are clearly in politics to enrich themselves and their corporate cronies.

  3. If they spent half the time holding their endorsed candidates accountable when the were elected, we would not be having this conversation. It’s the only job I know where you are hired (elected) with no accountability from the party. Committee people openly deceive or are willfully ignorant as they knock on the doors of uninformed voters asking for support of the candidates. Trust is a terrible thing to waste.

  4. So true, Lisa Esler. The Party puts up puppets for all levels of government and there is zero accountability to the taxpayer constituents. They do not want people like Donna, et al who are free thinkers and who want to do the right thing for the people they represent. Their preference is to have people who do what they’re told, when they’re told so that the party can keep its control. It’s pretty obvious from what’s been reported that the Chester County Republican Party leadership is in bed with the Democrats. They have been so used to having control that they don’t see the disconnect with wives who get high paying jobs through Democratic connections or wives who contribute to Democratic candidates. They understand that Donna and company do see the disconnect and they want to stop that threat to their power base. When somebody comes along and confronts them, they go into destruction mode. Hopefully Donna and the others will prevail.
