Congressman Marino Seeks Term Limits

Congressman Marino Seeks Term Limits
Congressman Tom Marino (R-PA10) has proposed a Constitutional amendment to limit terms of federal legislators.

Kudos to Congressman Tom Marino, the Republican who represents the 10th District of northern Pennsylvania, for his ceaseless push for federal legislative term limits.

Marino is seeking a Constitutional amendment that would limit senators to two six-year terms and members of the House to six two-year terms.

“Too few have had power for too long,” he says. “I have great friendships and working relationships with many of my colleagues here in D.C. but a common thread among many of them is they have been here too long and not enough has changed for the better; it has gotten worse.”

Marino has introduced this idea twice in the last four years.

  1. I wish Marino were our representative. We have Charlie Dent. The Bavarians would refer to Charlie as “Stimmvieh”.

  2. Establishing term limits would go a long way toward stopping the old boy network in government which is the reason we, the people, are no longer represented.
