First television commercial William Lawrence Sr Omnibit 8-16-22

The world’s first television commercial aired on 2:29 p.m., July 1, 1941 on WNBT before a baseball game between the Philadelphia Phillies and the Brooklyn Dodgers.

It was for Bulova watches, lasted 10 seconds and featured a clock  superimposed on a map of the United States, accompanied by the voice-over “America runs on Bulova time.”
