GOP Legislators Twisting Arms For Establishment Endorsements

GOP Legislators Twisting Arms For Establishment Endorsements — A little birdie told us that Republican state legislators are calling members of the GOP State Committee — you all know who your state committee person is right? — to pressure them into backing establishment tools Megan King and Kate Harper for State Superior Court.

Two seats are being contested for 10-year terms on the court which is theintermediate appellate court for most matters in the state.

Ms. King and Ms. Harper were overwhelmingly rejected in the caucus straw polls in favor of Christylee Peck and Rebecca Warren.

The primary election is May 21.

The committee’s endorsement meeting is 10 a.m., Saturday. It will be streamed live on PCNTV. It has not been ascertained if the ballots will be secret or open. Contact your State Committee person — you can find them here, just click on the county — and let them know you’ll be watching.

Unless you like being a serf, your choice should be Christylee Peck and Rebecca Warren.

  1. I certainly don’t want to live in a world, let alone a state where pro-big govt Harper

who has helped write & pass bad (eg more criminalization) legislation in PA, who is onboard and endorses gun control bills (HB 2060 & 2227) and has voted for multiple tax increases (gas shale severance) plus an awful bailout just last legislative session

has any direct influence on our court system…

Just say ‘No’ to the status-quo. 18 yrs in office as a legislator is far long enough! Time for real change and reform.

  2. It’s my understanding that the Establishment pulled Kate Harper from the race after not winning enough votes, and put in Megan King from Chester County, who has never run for any race before. Not sure how they really expect her to win, or whether it’s just a ploy to take votes away from the conservative candidates.

  3. Finally, are people starting to wake up?! Got the inside scoop yesterday evening. Harper out as a Superior Court Candidate after getting a pitiful amount of votes. Establishment heads and party donors tried desperately to shove her down our throats but she was exposed for the liberal voting democrat she is. The system may be severely broken but even a broken clock is right twice a day.

Why do they continue to try to lose elections and sell out our state, stab volunteers and activists in the back??

No code of ethics, losing mentality and a resistance to change. Has to end.
