Justice Breyer Robbed By Machete-Waving Home Intruder

Justice Breyer Robbed By Machete-Waving Home Intruder — Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer was robbed Thursdays, Feb. 9, when machete-wielding man broke into his vacation home on the Caribbean island of Nevis and stole $1,000.

Breyer, 73, was with his wife and guests.

In 2004,  Justice David Souter was assaulted by a group of men as he jogged on the street in Washington.

In 1996,  Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg had her purse snatched while she was out walking with her husband and daughter near their home in Washington.

It seems that some liberals are just to far gone to be turned into conservatives by a mugging.

It also seems that conservative Supreme Court Justices don’t wind up being crime victims. The proper understanding of the Second Amendment appears to have advantages.

  1. The late Philadelphia Mayor Richard Dilworth described a conservative as a former liberal who had been mugged.

I guess these dummies will never learn.

  2. Oh dear. I’m not sure if your blog post has to do with your religious beliefs or your political ones. So, you are saying that you believe a righteous and just Higher Power is at play, and if the “dummies” who disagree fall victim to some sort of divine retribution, it’s okay to joke about it? And what do you say about Gabrielle Giffords, a gun-owner and supporter of the 2nd amendment? If you have something to say about the 2nd amendment, why don’t you say it instead of attempting to be witty about acts of violence committed on these Supreme Court judges. Who is your God, Mr. Lawrence?

  3. Just pointing out the correlation, not defining the causation at least with regard to divine intervention.

Why is it that only the liberal Supreme Court justices are victims of crime?

Maybe they are just too dag gone dumb to stay out of bad neighborhoods, which is actually my best guess.

With regard to gun ownership, while there are studies on both sides of the matter as to whether having a gun makes you safer, it can’t be disputed that the more we have allowed private citizens to legally carry the fewer murders we seem to have.

Again just pointing out correlation without defining causation.

  4. Correlation or best guess? Pretty thin stuff here — your words are starting to sound like something bellowed out from a barstool after a few too many. “Only” liberal justices are victims of crime? Victims are too dumb? so what? they deserve to be victims? Bad neighborhoods? Breyer was attacked in his home! Don’t drink and blog, sir — you sound pretty “dag gone dumb” yourself.

  5. No need to be hostile. You sound like a open-minded liberal.

You understand what correlation means? When the media reports a series of crimes against Supreme Court justices and the only justices mentioned are the liberal ones, well, you have a correlation.

Breyer was attacked at his home on the island of Nevis, a former British territory with a notably high crime rate.

Why couldn’t he be happy with Cape May, or if wanted the sun maybe the Space Coast in Florida.

Guess they are too unhip and middle class for him. Like I said dag gone dumb. LOL.
