Pennsylvania Bathroom Bills

Pennsylvania Bathroom BillsPennsylvania Bathroom Bills — A pair of very stupid bills were introduced in the Pennsylvania legislature last fall that would give emotionally disturbed males legal access to all public women’s rooms.

SB 974 has been sitting in the Senate’s State Government Committee since Sept. 8, as has HB 1510 in the House counterpart.

Biology is reality. Other people’s feelings matter. If a person born a male — which means he is a male — is uncomfortable using a man’s restroom he has an emotional issue and you can feel sorry for him. One has to recognize, however, that women have feelings too and most — the overwhelming majority we suspect — would feel very uncomfortable about him entering their private space.

And this is leaving aside the impossibility of weeding out males who merely claim to identify as female to enter ladies rooms.

Target gave men by-right access to the ladies rooms at their stores and have found it to be very bad business.

Voting for these bills would be very bad politics.

And that means you too, Scott Wagner.

  1. I was curious to know who sponsored the Senate bill, because I’d have bet a hundred bucks it was Daylin Leach, but I was surprised to see that it was Pat Browne. Folks in Lehigh County ought to be ashamed that we have elected such a knucklehead as this. But then I remembered that in our district, we elect Lisa Boscola, year after year, and I remember that we live in a glass house.

  2. I hear Target received over 1 million negative feed back emails about their decision.Plus a drop of over a billion in market value for their stock
I cut up my Target Credit card and sent it back with a note:”Stick to merchandising and preventing your customer’s credit card info and leave your stupid foray into”social issues” alone”.

  3. PA Bathroom Bills – Please stop wasting PA Taxpayers money
These stupid and harmful bills attacks everyone’s birth right to personal privacy, safety, protection and security, along with not being put in harm’s way by those who want to do social experimenting.

There should always be an expectation of privacy in all public accommodations, like restrooms, gyms, dressing rooms, school locker rooms and any place else that people disrobe, that you will not be exposed to or viewed by members of the opposite biological sex.

Maintaining separate restrooms on any other basis than biological sex is arbitrary and irrational, along with putting many people both children and adults at risk of terrible harm, (both physical and physiological).

There are other ways in which everyone feeling can be respect without taking privacy, security, and safety away from the vast majority of people, along with not putting anyone in harm’s way and this is by utilizing biological sex specific and family style restrooms facilities. This has already been done at the YMCA, various Restaurants and other facilities.

Please stop wasting PA Taxpayers money on these ridiculous PA bathroom bills once and for all! That way more important issues facing PA can be addressed, like ISIS and the financial stability of PA.
