Pennsylvania Budget Hearings Underway

The Pennsylvania House Appropriations Committee has began its annual budget hearings, notes State Rep. Jim Cox (R-129).

The Independent Fiscal Office, Department of Revenue, Department of Aging, and the offices of Auditor General and Attorney General were among the first to testify. The hearings will continue through the end of the month to ensure all state departments and agencies are provided an opportunity to testify and to allow members to ask questions regarding proposed allocations in the 2014-15 spending plan, says Cox.
