Pennsylvania Education Spending Per Student

Commonwealth Foundation has posted this graph of Facebook showing that Pennsylvania spends $2,900 more per student than the national average, and that two thirds of the state’s residents are blithely unaware of it.

OpenPaGov.org estimates that Pennsylvania in 2012-13 spent $15,341 per pupil.

  1. Vouchers ! Parents of school aged children should be alloted a fixed amount of money allowing them to send their kids to good schools.

  2. I took money out of the sugar jar and scratched coins out of the sofa to send my kids to parochial schools. I’m glad I did.
