Personal Journeys At JPCD

Lauren Barlow, a certified career services professional, will lead an interactive presentation about personal journeys 7-8:30 p.m., Feb. 4, at Media Presbyterian Church’s Hassler Chapel, 30 E. Baltimore Ave., Media, PA 19063. The chapel can be accessed from Baltimore Avenue, to the left of the main door, or around back on East Franklin Street. All are welcome, without regard to religious affiliation.

Attendees will reflect on their professional journey, learn how to incorporate their story into a LinkedIn profile and interview answers to attract the right type of employer. 

Ms. Barlow, who is a Senior Career Counselor at Widener University and has a private practice, is a Certified Myers-Briggs Practitioner and Global Career Development Facilitator. As a career coach, Lauren’s goal is to help job seekers find meaningful careers by exploring personal attributes, learning about different industries, developing a networking strategy and utilizing effective job search techniques. Lauren earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Master’s in Education from Salisbury University.

JPCD is a joint program of Media Presbyterian Church and St. Laurence Church, Upper Darby and is affiliated with Joseph’s People, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing guidance and support to unemployed and underemployed workers.
