Ultraman vs Godzilla, who would win? OK Robert James: Ultraman vs Godzilla, who would win? Why, Ultraman of course. It was actually put to the test. Haruo Nakajima who played the original Godzilla played several of Ultraman's opponents as well. Ultraman always won. At least against the characters Nakajima played.William Lawrence Sr. Omnibit 11-4-15

  1. Not only did Nakajima perform in several episodes, but one episode featured a monster, raised by a mad scientist and living in a deep lake, and the suit was one of the Godzilla suits circa 1964, with a big neck frill attached, and a blaze of orange paint sprayed on it. I don’t remember the episode’s title offhand, I’ll have to check my DVD set when I get home.

Ultraman killed the monster by pummeling it, and then ripping the neck frill off.

I used to watch “Ultraman”, along with “Prince Planet”, “Kimba the White Lion”, “Tobor the Eighth Man”, “Marine Boy” and of course, “Speed Racer”, on Wee Willie Weber’s afternoon show, when I was a little kid. And then I’d listen to him as Bill Weber on WIP. Ah, those were the days!
