Bibi At Wits’ End With 0

Newsmax.com is reporting that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu blew up at the U.S. ambassador last month because he was “at wits’ end” over what he sees as the Obama administration’s lack of clarity on Iran’s nuclear program.

I’m Amazing

Michelle Obama just called me amazing. It was in an email. She then asked for three bucks.

Sorry Michelle. I had to put it in the gas tank.

Too Frequent, Too Painful

By Pat Carfagno

It happens all too frequently.  When it does, it is painful.  Folks regularly question the disability.   “You’re not really sick”, “You don’t need that cane”.  “Wish I was a sick as you”, “How could a person who is handicapped drive THAT car” (5 speed two seater).  “You look great, you’re about as sick as that Ann Romney, I can tell”.  “If you are sick, why do you walk such a big dog?”

It begs the questions, “What does Cancer look like?”  “What does a transplant recipient look like?”  “What does MS look like?”  “What does epilepsy look like?”  “What does loneliness look like?”

Yes, my presence often brings with it inconveniences to others about which I can be extremely self-conscious and concerned for how that presence changes peoples experiences.  There are truly people that would prefer you stay hidden.  I like to think that they are the way they are because your presence reminds them of their own vulnerability.  The thought that they or a loved one could be a walking disability time bomb must be quickly dismissed to preserve their comfy world view.

They do not want to have to think about such unpleasantries.

Trust me, we do not demand your help, we just don’t want you to make things more difficult.

So please, the next time anyone feels the need to comment on someones appearance, manner or speech, check the man in the mirror.  None of us gets out of this life in mint condition.

Some Thoughts About The Last Night Of The Dem Convention

Obama looked bad the last night in Charlotte. His tone was pleading and excuse making and not very leader-like.

Cardinal Dolan, in his benediction, gave the speech Bob Casey Sr. would have given 20 years ago. The Fox camera panned the crowd showing many devoutly praying with him. Hopefully, he inspires a change of heart in the party. “Sluts” really aren’t a winning constituency.

Shuttering An Era

Ritz Camera — which acquired the Marple Pa.-based Camera Shop technological generations ago — has again filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

The shop is considered the largest camera chain in the nation once having 1,200 stores. When the smoke clears from the latest Chapter 11 — filed June 22 — it is expected to have 167 stores.
Those in Delaware County who worked with film have fond memories of the Camera Shop stores.

Thoughts On Tonight’s Democratic Convention

So the Democrats have decided to boo God and move Obama’s acceptance speech from a large football stadium to an indoor arena. They cited possible rain. You know, the Republicans had not an iota of this drama and they had to deal with a hurricane. Was it rain that caused the move or was it empty chairs.

Clint Eastwood is laughing, we suspect.
And for those who think Clinton is their savior — which we suspect is a feeling held by many in that hall as they boo God and such — let it be noted he is:
–The only 20th century president to have been impeached
–That he never got 50 percent of the vote
–That his greatest accomplishments were returning Congress to the GOP after a generation-plus and ending the sexual harassment witch-hunts that were becoming commonplace in the early 90s.
