Homosexual Culture Caused Catholic Scandal Says Cardinal

Homosexual Culture Caused Catholic Scandal Says Cardinal — Cardinal Raymond Burke, who is Prefect of the Supreme Tribunal of the Apostolic Signatura in Rome, has finally and courageously stated the reason for the sickness that has been revealed in the Catholic Church: homosexual culture.

“Now it seems clear in light of these recent terrible scandals that indeed there is a homosexual culture, not only among the clergy but even within the hierarchy, which needs to be purified at the root,” he said.

Only about 5 percent of the scandal involved pedophilia according to studies. About 80 percent involves sex with postpubescent males.

“It’s been a homosexual scandal all along,” he said.

He’s right of course. The clergy who have done these twisted things obviously don’t believe what they have been ordained to teach and pastor.

The big question is how did they obtain their positions. The why is easy to answer as wolves find it advantageous to dress as sheepdogs.

  1. “The big question is how did they obtain their positions.”

I recall reading an article when the story first broke back in 2002 or so-because this grand jury report is not the first we’re hearing of this scandal, regardless how the Church-ophobic media present it-that many seminarians had otherwise unwanted tendencies, but with the dwindling number of vocations, the Church was more willing to turn a blind eye to them. That doesn’t explain those priests who were older or from previous generations, but it is a plausible factor in the number of priests who were trained and ordained over the past 50 years or so, who committed these crimes.

  2. From Breitbart’s follow up:

“Many people still don’t (I believe most priests still don’t) understand just how evil the active homosexual or homosexual activist (AH/HA from here on out) priests and bishops are,” writes Father Edwin Palka, pastor of Epiphany of Our Lord Catholic Church in Tampa, Florida, in his weekly bulletin.

    He adds:

Not understanding the extent of their depravity and wrongly thinking that they are simply “normal” men who just struggle with their sexual desires and sometimes might fail to remain chaste but are really, truly repentant when it happens and strive to “confess my sins, do penance and amend my life, amen”, they cannot possibly grasp the hellish depths to which the AH/HA [active homosexual/homosexual activist] clergy will go to persecute, lambaste, punish, humiliate and blackmail anyone who stands in their way or threatens their way of life.

Palka explains that priests who complain about homosexual advances to a homosexual activist bishop or who aspire to teach the Church’s doctrine on marriage and chastity “will get the worst assignment the bishop can conjure up.”

    1. TY for the link.

Apostolic Nuncio Viganò names a lot of names.

Looks like Archbishop Chaput is a white hat (hee hee) though.

And the Pope, in a very different, friendly, almost affectionate tone, said to me: “Yes, the Bishops in the United States must not be ideologized, they must not be right-wing like the Archbishop of Philadelphia,’
