Sheriff Bunny Welsh Not Seeking Re-electionSheriff Bunny Welsh Not Seeking Re-election — Chester County Sheriff Carolyn “Bunny” Welsh has announced that she will not be seeking election in 2019. Her term ends in January 2020.

Considering the state of the Chesco Republican Party we fully understand.

She is person of immense talent and great integrity, and we certainly hope she stays in public life.

Bunny, who was elected in 1999, is Chesco’s longest serving sheriff and its first female sheriff.

“Sometimes, God leads you down a path and opens doors where you least expect it,” she said. “After serving as sheriff for 20 years, I will be looking forward to a new challenge in 2020.”
