Vote Count Slow Slow Slow In June 2020

Vote Count Slow Slow Slow In June 2020– – Here we are at 10:24 a.m. the day after the low-turnout June 2 primary election and only 14.25 percent of the precincts are reporting in Delaware County, Pa.

November is going to be a joy. You think maybe it would have been smarter to wait for an off-year to make drastic changes in the election process? If you were smart — unlike our leaders who happen to be mostly Democrat — you would.

Regard Covid concerns, Springfield Commissioner Bob Layden noted in his recent newsletter that combining polling places was not the smartest way to maximize social distancing.

  1. That’s interesting-here in Northampton County, all of our returns are complete.

This was done in at least one district in Montgo, too. My dad lives in Harleysville, albeit in Franconia Township. His normal polling station is at the Peter Becker retirement community. But for this election, polling stations were consolidated at the (relatively) new Souderton Area HS in the middle of the township. I can see not using the regular location, but yes, it seems to be counterintuitive, if “social distancing” is supposed to provide more space between people, not less, to have everyone in the township assemble at one location.
