Things Learned At The Leadership Conference — We heard at the Pennsylvania Leadership Conference that the state and local GOP leaders told its membership to stand down in the March 25 special election.
It was the one that saw conservative Republican Josh Parsons lose to Democrat James Malone in in the 36th District by a handful of votes.

Also, state constables are prevented by other law enforcement agencies from accessing the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) database. A constable serving an eviction notice sometimes finds himself surprised and unprepared when the subject is also wanted for a felony.
More troubling is that constables are prevented from using police radio bands. One constable found himself in a gunfight and had to call for backup by dialing 911 on his cell phone.
One bit of good news was that an executive order signed by President Trump gives not just state but local officials access to databases concerning illegal voters.
