Celeste Giuliano Art To Be Displayed — Photo-artist extraordinaire Celeste Giuliano will display her 40s-50s style pin up art 8:30 -11:59 p.m., Dec. 2 at Union Transfer, 1026 Spring Garden St Philadelphia, Pa. 19123.

David Lynch Art — Nicholas of Artsy.net has found our story concerning Loren Kantor’s woodcut work which includes noted director David Lynch as a subject. He points out that Artsy has actual paintings by the auteur himself.
We say any man whose artistic ethos was formed while living in Philadelphia deserves a link.

Arlene Gilmore’s Iris will be among the photographs on display at an exhibit that runs Feb. 23 through March 14 at the Art Center/Gallery at Delaware State University, 1200 N. DuPont Highway in Dover.
Admission is free.
A watercolor purportedly by Adolph Hitler was sold at an auction in Nuremberg, Germany on Nov. 22 for 130,000 euros. This equals $161,000.
The panting is entitled “Standesamt und Altes Rathaus Muenchen” or “Civil Registry Office and Old Town Hall of Munich” and was done in 1914.
The sellers were two unidentified German sisters in their 70s, and included the original handwritten bill of sale. Amazing how it was kept for all this years. It’s like the original buyer knew the guy would become famous.
It should be noted that this causes suspicion for some.
The latest buyer was identified as a private person from the Middle East. May he be the subject of a con.

We got a nice personal email from Los Angeles woodcut artist Loren Kantor promoting her site and the subjects on it.
One of these days we are going to start charging for this stuff but, with the inspiration of Pope Francis, we are going to cut Loren a break, pay it forward and help out a starving artist.

Stephanie Nolt Bubble Bath — Stephanie Nolt’s “Bubble Bath” will be among the works featured in the Antonelli Institute Alumni Art Show at the Woodmere Art Museum’s Helene Millard Gallery from Jan. 13 to Feb. 24.
There will be an opening reception, 2-4 p.m., Jan. 13 at the museum which is at 9201 Germantown Ave. in Chestnut Hill. Cost is free.
