Virtue Signalers Arabian Hypocrisy — Mohammed bin Salman, who is Saudi Arabia’s crown prince, has been solidly implicated in the Oct. 2 murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi and President Trump is turning a blind eye.
Trump points out that it is America first and that the Iranian mullahs — Arabia’s mortal enemy — are the real threat. He also says the Arabian oil production is nice.
As expected, the famously inconsistent virtue signalers are outraged.
“I think that’s one of the most amoral statements any president of the United States has ever uttered,” said Congressman Gerry Connolly (D-VA).
Richard North Patterson on Yahoo calls President Trump an accessory to Khahoggi’s murder.
So where were these people when Obama was propping up the oppressive mullahs? They were defending him. They defended Obama on Cuba, and on Venezuela and on Libya. They defended him on the Muslim Brotherhood.
Do we even have to mention Hillary and Benghazi and how they protected her?
Hey have you heard of Meng Hongwei? Of course not. He is a Chinese politician who was president of Interpol until Oct. 7. He was forced to resign by Chinese authorities and then disappeared. It has been revealed he is in custody in the PRC. His wife is upset about.
Nobody else seems to be.
The virtue-signalers, though, are upset about President Trump’s hardline with the Chinese.
Hypocrites.
America first, however, is moral and consistent.
