Easter, of course, celebrates the Resurrection of the Lord Jesus and the salvation of Man.  The date for Easter is the Sunday following the first full moon after the spring equinox, which is always reckoned, regardless of astronomical observations, to be March 21 as per the Western churches that use the Gregorian calendar, so Easter always falls between March 22 and April 25.

The dating for Easter correlates with the means the Jews once used to set the date for Passover, which correlates with Scripture since Scripture indicates that the Crucifixion of the Lord occurred as the lambs were being slaughtered for the celebration of that holiday. In fact, in most Western languages the name for the day is a cognate of the Pesach which is the Hebrew name for Passover. In Latin it would be Pascha so Paschal lamb would be Passover lamb.

In English and German, the word comes from Eostre month, which was basically April, and which the pagans who spoke Germanic languages had named for the goddess Eostre much as our own March and April are named for the Greek god and goddess Mars and Aphrodite, respectively. In Slavic, the holiday is called “Great Night” (Velikonoce in Slovak) or “Great Day” (Velikden in Ukrainian). There are some caveats regarding the date. The Eastern churches that use the Julian calendar set the equinox  at April 3, and, of course, the spring equinox is based on that of the Northern Hemisphere.

God And Man On The Cross — When one realizes that the guy on the cross is God many things start making sense.

God is good despite the rampant evil and twistedness in the world. He loves us and hates cruelty and the infliction of suffering.

And the evil in the world has always been there. Look at history whether contemporaneous or ancient. This crucifixion was more than 2,000 years ago.

Also evil is a choice. The rules He set means he won’t stop it. It’s up to us, and not by doing big things but little ones. Comforting someone on the outs even if it means giving up some of your comfort. Refusing to take advantage when able. Telling the truth even if it hurts. Stopping the urge to strike back. Not hurting a family member or spouse. Things like that.

And not hurting ourselves, of course. We are commanded to love ourselves after all. If we don’t love ourselves we won’t love others.

The real kick, though, is when you look at a simple cross without Jesus on it.

The cross was a device meant to control trough terror and compel obedience to worldly authorities, the corrupt and the bullies.

And you then fully comprehend why Man needs a Redeemer.

Philly GOP Women Under CyberAttack — We’ve been getting reports from prominent freedom activists in the Philadelphia area of cyber-attacks concerning digital communications especially mobile phones and email.

The victims are usually female and often Republican candidates or officials.

Bank accounts have been hacked, Amazon accounts have been hacked, health insurance policies cancelled, and credit cards pilfered.

Long-term contacts on mobile phones have been blocked, and calls have been unexpectedly dropped.

In one, case a Uber app disappeared.

Authorities and tech support are generally unhelpful. The advice is usually just change the phone number or email.

That’s not good enough.

Those doing this must be found and punished.

The victims must unite to do this.

For those of us who have read 1984 by George Orwell and wonder when it turns from a speculative work of fiction to a documentary, that time may be arriving.

Certain Federal Agencies will no longer be able to accept driver licenses or state ID cards come May 7.

The ACLU says REAL IDs will“facilitate the tracking of data on individuals “and bring government into the very center of every citizen’s life.”

Some of the advantages of real ID are “standardized verification across states”, “prevention of identity theft, and “improved public safety”.

Negatives include” privacy concerns”, “cost of compliance”, “potential for discrimination”, and “impact on state autonomy.”

Twila Brase, co-founder and president of the Citizens’ Council for Health Freedom, says REAL ID and digital ID may allow the federal government to “usurp state’s rights and assert unprecedented control over people’s lives.”

Another critic “James F. Holderman III, director of investigative research with Stand for Health Freedom, says “The widespread adoption of Digital IDs and digital wallets lays the foundation of a surveillance-based technocracy.”

Some Afro-Americans suspect a racist movtivation.

Scholars Simone Brown, Vanessa Holden, and Elizabeth Stordeur point out that the beginnings of state id’s and registries “can be traced to efforts to spy on the lives and movements of Black people living in colonial and antebellum America”.

Curt Weldon On Tucker

Curt Weldon On Tucker — Curt Weldon spent an hour and 20 minutes with Tucker Carlson and the interview was posted on X, April 14.

What he said would have sounded nuts 20 years ago.

Today?

Not so much.

Curt represented Pennsylvania’s 7th District, which was then most of Delaware County, in Congress from 1987 to 2007.

He was slated to be tapped to chair the powerful Armed Services Committee until he started questioning the official narrative regarding 9/11.

Then in 2005 he wrote Countdown to Terror which revealed how US intelligence could have easily stopped the attacks that killed nearly 3,000 Americans but, well, didn’t.

After that the Deep State led by fellow “Republican” George W. Bush took him out.

Curt says the 9/11 Commission was a scam and the destruction of Building 7 really does appear to controlled demolition.

Heck, he says the collapse of the Twin Towers appears to be controlled demoltion.

The fire crew upon reaching the impact –78th — floor of of one of the towers radioed that there were two fires at the scene and they were controllable.

Then the building collapsed.

Curt said Bravo 7, a documentary of the event from the firefighters perspective, has been made. He said he will send it to anyone contacting him on his LinkedIn account but it can be watched online here.

Curt also says the CIA apparently has developed a way to induce fast-moving cancer in those it wants gone.

Once we would have laughed.
