More Truth To Power

This has been confirmed and was aired on Paul Harvey. One wonders if Chrysler knows.

The invocation by Pastor Joe Wright before the Kansas House of Representatives on Jan. 23, 1996.

It seems prayer still upsets some people.  When Minister Joe Wright was asked to open the  Session of the Kansas House, everyone was expecting the usual  generalities, but this is what they heard:

‘Heavenly Father,
We come before you today
To ask your forgiveness and
To seek your direction and guidance.

We know Your Word says,
‘Woe to those who call evil good’
But that is exactly what we have done.

We have lost our spiritual equilibrium
And reversed our values.

We have exploited the poor and
Called it the lottery.

We have rewarded laziness
And called it welfare.

We have killed our unborn
And called it choice.

We have shot abortionists
And called it justifiable.

We have neglected to discipline
Our children and called it
Building self esteem.

We have abused power
And called it politics.

We have coveted our neighbor’s
Possessions and called it ambition.

We have polluted the air
With profanity and  Pornography and called it
Freedom of speech and expression.

We have ridiculed the time Honored
values of our   Forefathers and called it enlightenment.

Search us, Oh, God, And know our hearts
today; Cleanse   Us from every sin
And set us free.

Amen!’

The response was immediate.  At least one legislator walked out during the prayer in protest. In 6 short weeks, Central Christian   Church, where Rev. Wright is pastor, logged more than 5,000 phone calls with only 47 of those calls responding negatively. The church is now receiving equests for copies of this prayer from India , Africa and Korea

Commentator Paul Harvey aired this prayer on his radio program,  The Rest of the Story,’ and received a larger response to this program than any other he has ever aired.

Texas Teen Sues To Stop Forced Abortion

Reader Tom C has submitted this link about how a Texas 16-year-old is suing her parents to keep them from forcing her to have an abortion.

Hey kid, the debate was never about you or doing what is right. It was about convenience and more often than not for  someone other than you.

It’s great that you are fighting for your child’s life.

Just learn not to be stupid.

Thoughts On The Connecticut Massacre

Thoughts On The Connecticut Massacre — As of this writing 27 persons are reported dead after a mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn. including 18 children, the gunman and the gunman’s mother who was a teacher at the school and whose class the gunman appears to have targeted.

The gunman has been identified as 20-year-old Adam Lanza and has reportedly killed himself. A Sig Saur handgun, a Glock 9 handgun and a Bushmaster rifle were found at the scene.

If the reports are correct, this will be the nation’s second worst massacre of school children surpassed only by the Bath, Mich. tragedy of 1927 in which a twisted man named Andrew Kehoe blew up his farm and the school killing 45 including 38  children, himself and his wife who he beat to death at his home. His suicide was performed by driving to the disaster scene at the school and exploding his car amidst a crowd.

Kehoe was the school board treasurer and plotted for months to blow up the Bath Consolidated School sneaking explosives in while pretending to do repairs.

The death toll at Columbine High School in 1999 was 13.

The first mass shooting in the U.S. occurred on April 9, 1891 when 70-year-old James Foster fired a shotgun at a group of children on the playground of St. Mary’s Parochial School in Newburgh, N.Y. causing several minor injuries.

For the next several decades — excepting the incident in Bath — school violence involved specific disputes rather than random attacks. That changed on Jan. 29, 1979 when 16-year-old Brenda Ann Spencer opened fire from her window with a .22 caliber rifle given to her by her father on children at Grover Cleveland Elementary School in San Diego  who she “said looked like cows”. Two adults were killed and eight children wounded.

The shooting was the inspiration for the Boomtown Rats hit I Don’t Like Mondays.

Since then there have been at least 12 mass school shootings in which children were targeted just because they were children.

‘Cuz there are no reasons as the song says. Choosing evil does not mix well with choosing reason.

Ed note: The gunman was misidentified as the killer’s brother in initial reports.

Bill Would Cut Tax $ To Abortionists In Pa.

State Representative Daryl Metcalfe (R-12), yesterday, May 23, introduced a bill that would prohibit Planned Parenthood and all other abortion-on-demand providers from receiving taxpayer funding.

Also supporting the Whole Woman’s Health Funding Priority Act are Representatives Kathy Rapp (R-65); Ryan Aument (R-41), Bryan Cutler (R-100) and Gordon Denlinger (R-88).

Hopefully, some of the more go-along-to-get-along types who claim to be pro life join them. The Republicans hold the majority in the state Senate and the House, along with the governor’s office so this should be a no-brainer. Given Harrisburg and money and favors, no-brainer does not mean done deal.

And for those out there who feel uncomfortable about “social issues” don’t think of cutting government spending as a “social issue”.

If we can’t defund the dubious services provided by Planned Parenthood — the benefits of which cannot be socially substantiated — what can we defund?

American Black Genocide

As Black History Month winds down, here is a tidbit to ponder: blacks made up 12 percent of our population but account for 35 percent of abortions, which is five times the white rate. More than 50 percent of all black pregnancies end in abortion.
American Black Genocide

Planned Parenthood was founded as the American Birth Control League by Margaret Sanger in part to check the growth of  “stocks that are the most detrimental to the future of the race.

What stocks would they be?

One of the people Mrs. Sanger appointed to the board of the League was her friend Lothrop Stoddard, whose book The Rising Tide of Color Against White World-Supremacy was widely read and very influential before World War II.

Stoddard lost favor after the war because of his praise of Nazi eugenics policy.

To all my black friends, stop voting Democrat. Those people are trying to kill you.

Ironically, Stoddard was a Republican. Times have changed.

Obama Anti-Catholic Mandate Petition

Obama Anti-Catholic Mandate Petition — An online petition has been started at WhiteHouse.gov asking the Obama Administration to rescind their perversely anti-Catholic mandate requiring all Catholic employers to provide contraceptives/abortifacients to their employees.

The petition — which can be found here — has a goal of getting 25,000 names by Feb. 27. As of this post it has 22,333.

Komen Caves After Pressure From Dem Senators

Komen Caves After Pressure From Dem Senators — Susan G. Komen Foundation has reversed its decision to end grants to Planned Parenthood after pressure from 22 Democrat senators.

The Komen Foundation is an organization founded to end breast cancer by raising money to fund research.

Planned Parenthood is organization founded by Margaret Sanger
to eliminate the stocks that are most detrimental to the future of the race and the world  and is the nation’s largest provider of abortions.

What does Planned Parenthood have to do with breast cancer research?

Well, nothing which is one of the reasons — along with a congressional investigation into whether the group has violated the law regarding use of the tax money it receives — that Komen cut off the spigot.

Susan Komen Cuts Ties To Planned Parenthood

Susan Komen Cuts Ties To Planned Parenthood — The Susan G. Komen Foundation has cut is ties to Planned Parenthood pleasing many who hate abortion and angering others who consider the death of a child in the womb to be some sort of sacrament.

The foundation is the largest funder of breast cancer research in America but has still made contributions to the abortion provider including $629,159 to Planned Parenthood affiliates in 2009-2010, according to American Life League’s Stop Planned Parenthood project

Komen spokeswoman Leslie Aun has said that the  the decision was made in light of new criteria barring Komen from having a relationship with organizations under investigation by government authorities. Planned Parenthood is being investigated by a U.S. House committee over concerns about its reporting of criminal conduct and mishandling of federal funds.

Komen, however, has also changed its policy to focus on “outcomes-driven” approaches to delivering services which would disqualify Planned Parenthood because it doesn’t do actually do things like mammograms but merely refer people to doctors.

Bill Gives Women Right To See Sonogram

Bill Gives Women Right To See Sonogram — In the month marking the anniversary of the Supreme Court’s ruling in Roe v. Wade, several House members held an event in Harrisburg this week to urge action on the Women’s Right-to-Know Act, said State Rep. Jim Cox (R-129).

House Bill 1077 would offer every pregnant woman in Pennsylvania seeking an abortion the opportunity to view and receive a printed copy of an ultrasound image of her unborn child. In addition, any questions a woman would have as a result of the ultrasound, including those involving gestational age and general developmental health, would have to be answered fully and completely. The bill would not require a woman to view the ultrasound and would waive one in the event of a medical emergency. Similar legislation has been introduced in 20 other states.

The bill is in the House Health Committee.

Nancy Pelosi And This Conscience Thing

Nancy Pelosi And This Conscience Thing — Nancy Pelosi, the fearless leader of the House Democrats, has taken issue with the Catholic Church because it is objecting to a potential Obama administration ruling that would force  insurance companies to cover birth control, contraception and drugs that could cause abortions.

President Zero is refusing to allow a moral exemption for religious groups.

Fearless Leader Pelosi told the Washington Post that “I’m a devout Catholic and I honor my faith and love it . . . but they have this conscience thing”

Yes, Nancy  that “conscience thing” that led the Church to do things like:

“This conscience thing”, today, is also leading the Church  to oppose things like greedy insider financial deals and stock market cheating.

You probably  have a problem with that as well.

Have you ever thought about getting “this conscience thing?”
