Business As Usual Gets Spanked In New Hampshire
A reason to smile

Business As Usual Gets Spanked In New Hampshire — Those OK with business as usual in Washington got a severe spanking in New Hampshire last night, Feb. 9.

In the Democrat presidential primary, socialist outsider Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont crushed Hillary Clinton 60 percent to 38 percent.

Yes Mrs. Clinton,  Bernie said “live free” and you died.  The whole house came down on your head. You could almost hear the little people singing “ding dong” as they danced and pointed the way to the Yellow Brick Road.

Sanders got 14 delegates to Mrs. Clinton’s nine.

Sure is a bummer to be out pandered.

On the Republican side, Donald Trump, who has never held a political office and has not even been a regular voter, easily won with 35 percent of the vote and 11 delegates. People really are that mad at the political class and they should be.

In second place, was John Kasich whose 16 percent of the vote got him three delegates. Kasich was a congressman for 22 years including six years as chairman of the House Budget Committee before declining to run for re-election in 2000. After stints as a Fox News commentator and as an investment banker, he re-entered politics in 2010 winning the Ohio gubernatorial election. He easily won re-election in 2014. His strong finish last night is being attributed to a strong debate performance.

Kasich is a native of Pennsylvania. If he should win the White House, it would the first time a native of the state held the presidency since the disgraceful James Buchanan in 1861.

Ted Cruz, who as gotten under the skin of just about every Washington insider in his first term as Texas senator, came in third with 12 percent of the vote giving him two delegates.

Getting under the skin of Washington insiders is a good thing.

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush got 11 percent of the vote which also netted him two delegates in his hopefully Quixotic quest to continue the family dynasty.

Florida Sen. Marco Rubio finished fourth with also about 11 percent of the vote but got zero delegates. He was followed by New York Gov.Chris Christie at 8 percent; businesswoman Carly Fiorina, exposure to whom the establishment media wants to minimize as she is a woman who could actually handle the job, at 4 percent; surgeon Ben Carson, at 2 percent; and Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul at 1 percent despite dropping out of the race. Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee and former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum got token votes despite also have dropped out.

Turnout was record-setting in the Republican race whereas it was down on the D side.

There is still a long way to go as 1,144 delegates are needed to win the GOP nomination and 2,382 are needed to lead the Democratic ticket.

Hillary Women Voters Failure

Hillary Women Voters Failure
He stands by his woman because she stood by him against Juanita and Paula and . . .

Hillary Women Voters Failure — While the embittered stupid people who base their politics on fashion and selfish appeals to ego rather than the health of the nation (and world) remain in Hillary Clinton’s camp, there is concern by her campaign that young women are abandoning her for Bernie Sanders.

Which prompted appeals by Gloria Steinem and Madeleine Albright for them to get their minds’ right.

Gloria said the girls were backing Bernie to chase boys. Madeleine was far more extreme invoking religion.

“There is a special place in hell for women who don’t help each other,” said Madeleine.

Frankly, considering Madeleine’s failure to back Sarah Palin in 2008 when she was the only gal on the ticket and considering her non-support of Carly Fiorina she has some serious repenting to do, but never mind that.

We’d just like to tell the women who continue to support Hillary solely because she is a woman that you are not alone. Bill and Bill continue to back her  as do other prominent people.

Here is a little story about one of the guys that you are in bed with ladies.

We doubt though it will change your mind co-dependency being what it is.

For what it’s worth, if Huma Abedin’s father was still alive we are confident he’d back her as well. That’s something you should be very much afraid of, frankly.

Rubio Gets Spirit of 76 Endorsement

Rubio Gets Spirit of 76 Endorsement  — The Spirit of 76 PAC, a tri-state (DE, NJ, PA) conservative federal PAC announced today, Feb. 1, that its advisory board has unanimously voted to endorse Marco Rubio for President.

Calling Senator Rubio the “best candidate to run for President from either party since Ronald Reagan,” PAC Spokeswoman Teri Adams of Cheltenham Township, PA, described Rubio as “a passionate conservative with a congressional voting record that matches his strong principled rhetoric.

“In the Senate, Marco Rubio has almost single-handily defeated ObamaCare by inserting a provision in the budget which restricts the Obama administration from shifting taxpayer funds from other programs to bailout health care insurers who are experiencing unexpected heavy losses.  ObamaCare cannot sustain this unanticipated budget shortfall,” said Ms. Adams.

“As a member of both the Senate Foreign Relations and Intelligence Committees for the past five years, Rubio has also gained extensive experience in foreign policy and national security issues,” said Advisory Board Member Jason O’Neill of Bear, DE.   “This experience will be invaluable in the fall campaign and in January 2017, when Senator Rubio becomes the 45th President of the United States.”

In addition to his career in the US Senate, Marco Rubio is one of the few candidates to have also served as an elected official at both the state and local levels of government.  Rubio Gets Spirit of 76 Endorsement

In the late 1990s, Rubio was elected to serve as a City Commissioner for West Miami Township and was elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 2000, representing the 111th district.  Rubio eventually rose to become House Speaker.  In 2010, Rubio was elected to the United States Senate after defeating incumbent Florida Governor Charlie Christ in a highly competitive race.

“Senator Rubio is the only Republican candidate to consistently defeat Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders in head-to-head general election polls,” said Advisory Board Member Bill Green of Marlton, NJ.  “We think he is, by far, the best GOP candidate to represent the conservative cause and the Republican Party.”

Casacio Crashes Delco

Casacio Crashes Delco
Stan Casacio at the Esler home.

Casacio Crashes Delco — Stan Casacio spent almost two hours this afternoon, Jan. 31, on his opponent’s home turf explaining the whys of his candidacy.

Casacio is a Montgomery County businessman long active in that county’s GOP politics who is mounting a GOP primary challenge to incumbent 7th District Congressman Pat Meheen.

The site of the invasion was a petitioning signing/meet and greet at the Esler home in Aston. Hostess was Lisa Esler, the Penn Delco School Board member who ran an unsuccessful write-in campaign last summer after local Republican Party leaders picked a Democrat-supporting union boss as their candidate for the vacated 161st Pennsylvania State House Seat.

Casacio said he was the son of an Italian immigrant who loves this country and the things for which it stands. He said existing policies abetted by Meehan will lead her to ruin. He described a fiscal policy that is impoverishing us. Meehan voted to raise the debt ceiling four times, he noted. We now owe over $18 trillion in debt.

Casacio said the immigration policy now in effect is a disaster. He said that when his father arrived his desire was to assimilate and become an American, not to impose strange and intolerant laws from the land that  they fled.

He said Meehan is among the enablers of Obama’s strange policy and has been non-existent in fighting it

Casacio also said he was motivated by his reverence for life.

“Each life is a nugget of gold,” he said.

He noted how the government has spend hundreds of millions seeking life in outer space and that merely shows how precious life is. He said that Meehan, who runs as a pro life candidate, voted to keep abortion-mill-operator Planned Parenthood funded and that he wouldn’t do it. He also noted that Meehan made robo-calls for one-time Planned Parenthood boardmember Scott Zelov in last year’s Montgomery County Commissioner Republican Primary. Zelov lost to Joe Gale, who was opposed by the party establishment and supported by Casacio.

Casacio said he spent his early years in Northeast Philadelphia before his family moved to Cheltenham where he attended Catholic Schools before graduating from Cheltenham High in the same class as “Yoni” Netanyahu, with whom he was friends.

It’s worth noting that Meehan also grew up in Cheltenham.

Casacio stayed in Cheltenham after starting a development company with his brother and sister, and got involved in local politics serving on the township’s board of commissioners. Among those whom he helped nurture in politics was talk show host Mark Levin, who was elected to the community’s school board in 1977 at the age of 20.

Casacio now lives in Whitemarsh.

Casacio, who is 68, said his age naturally term limits him but he still supports making limits mandatory for everyone.

Pennsylvania’s 7th District is horrifically gerrymandered. About 60-percent lies in Delaware County with the rest split between Montgomery, Chester, Lancaster and Berks counties.

The primary election is April 26.

DiGiorgio Corrects Lancaster County As To Nominees

DiGiorgio Corrects Lancaster County As To Nominees — Well, that was interesting. Chester County GOP Chairman Val DiGiorgio had to correct his Lancaster hosts at last night’s (Jan. 26) Lancaster County Republican Party endorsement convention, regarding the 16th Congressional District’s presidential convention delegates.

DiGiorgio Corrects Lancaster County As To Nominees
Val knows ChesCo. Val knows LanCo?

Why?

Because the delegates for the district of which 80-percent plus lies in Lancaster County come from Chester County and the host announced the wrong people.

What’s even more interesting is that Chester County has not even had its nomination convention, which is scheduled for 6 p.m., tomorrow, Jan. 28 at West Chester East High School.

The matter as to who the party bigwigs want as presidential electors has obviously been decided behind closed doors.

And with regard to the 16th District the small tail of Chester County is wagging the big dog of LanCo.

For the record, the endorsed delegate is Thomas Chiomento with the alternate delegate being Rick Loughery.

And that brings us to the matter of who is going to get the GOP endorsement for the April 26 primary to replace the 16th’s retiring congressman Republican Joe Pitts who has held the seat since winning the 1996 election.

Moderate State Senator Lloyd Smucker (R-13) got the endorsement of the Lancastrian Republicans with 69 percent of the vote with Manheim-area businessman Chet Beiler getting 24 percent.

The funny thing is Beiler is the overwhelming choice of the Chester County committeepeople in the district.

So who will the Chesco party pick at tomorrow’s endorsement convention? Will the tail again wag the dog? Don’t count on it. The one who will get the nod is the one most willing to do the bidding of the government class. Hint: His first name starts with an L.

DiGiorgio Corrects Lancaster County As To Nominees

Chesco Nixes Lloyd Smucker

Chesco Nixes Lloyd Smucker  — Lloyd Smucker, the state senator from Lancaster with the surprisingly liberal voting record for the 13th District that he represents, is the man GOP party bosses are trying to anoint to fill the seat of retiring Congressman Joe Pitts. Chesco Nixes Lloyd Smucker

Pitts has represented Pennsylvania’s 16th Congressional District since winning the 1996 election.  The 16th District consists of most of Lancaster County, along with a chunk of Chester County and a small bit of Berks County.

While the Lancaster Republican committee contingent have given him the green light, 70 percent of those in Chester County  went for Chet Beiler, a Lancaster County businessman without connections to the special interests who pluck feathers from the public goose.

Val DiGiorgio, the lobbyist who chairs the Chester County Republican Committee, did not go to bat for his people. In fact, LancasterOnline.com is reporting that the Chesco Party will officially back Smucker.

And that is just one more reason why there is dissension in the ranks.

Question: How will Val strong arm the 70 percent who voted for Beiler to now support Smucker? What tricks will be played by Val at Thursday’s endorsement vote to uphold his promise to his fellow bosses?

Alex Charlton Tapped By GOP For 165th Race

Alex Charlton Tapped By GOP For 165th Race — The Republican Committees of Springfield, Marple, Radnor and Morton, last night, Jan. 21, endorsed Alex Charlton of Springfield to replace Bill Adolph as state representative for the 165th Legislative District in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.

Adolph, who has represented the district since 1988, has announced he will not be seeking re-election.

Charlton, a former president of the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce currently serves as chief of staff to state Sen. Tom McGarrigle (R-26).

Charlton was nominated by Colleen Caceci, a Springfield Township Republican committee member.

“Alex Charlton was born and raised in Delaware County and has worked extensively with small businesses,” Ms. Caceci said. “His tenure at the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce and his service as Senator McGarrigle’s chief of staff have given him an up-close look at the challenges facing job creators and what can be done in Harrisburg to address them. He knows the importance of low taxes, good schools and protecting our quality of life. It’s my pleasure to nominate him for the committee’s endorsement.”

Charlton says he will make improving public schools a priority.

“Better schools, more jobs, a sound quality of life for our families and a functional state government in Harrisburg — that’s working for the people of Delaware County. These are the things I want for my family and my community,” he said. “I’m grateful for the confidence and support of the Republican committee members, and I’m grateful for their hard work in getting Republicans elected at every level.”

Charlton took a veiled shot at the Keystone Exam, a Common Core-type standardized testing program now being instituted in Pennsylvania schools.

“Our schools here in Delaware County are some of the best in the state, but our teachers and administrators are trapped in a broken system,” Charlton said. “It forces them to ‘teach to the test’ instead of preparing our kids to compete for jobs in a global workforce. Our school boards face one-size-fits-all regulations set by Harrisburg and Washington that drive up costs and stick our homeowners with the bill. My priority in Harrisburg will be to find solutions to fix these challenges and ensure our kids have access to strong public education.”

Charlton also recognized the importance of police and emergency responders.

“We are fortunate that Marple, Springfield, Radnor and Morton enjoy an excellent quality of life. That doesn’t happen by accident. It takes smart, responsible governance at the local and state level. We need to make sure our first responders have the tools they need to combat crime and keep our families safe.”

He also said he understands the importance of  preserving parks and open space.

“We need to make sure we’re protecting and expanding parks and open space in a responsible manner so that our communities can enjoy all that they can provide,” he said.

The primary election is April 26.

Pat Meehan Primaried

Pat Meehan Primaried — Montgomery County businessman Stan Casacio announced tonight, Jan. 21, he will challenge incumbent Pat Meehan for  Pennsylvania’s 7th District congressional seat in the April 26 Republican Primary.

Among those with Casacio at the event at his Whitemarsh home where he made the announcement were newly elected Montgomery County Commissioner Joe Gale and WPHT talk show host Dom Giordano.

Casacio, a local Republican leader, was a big backer of Gale. He said he was motivated to run against Meehan because of his unwillingness to fight to reign in out-of-control spending and illegal immigration, among other things.

He described Meehan as a nice guy but said he felt action was needed.

Meehan was elected to the seat in 2010.

The traditional center of the 7th District has been Delaware County and it has been represented by a Delco resident since 1945. It has been horrifically gerrymandered, though, and now includes large parts of Montgomery, Berks and Chester counties, and, believe it or not, even part of Lancaster County.

Trump Al Wilson And Snakes

Trump Al Wilson And SnakesTrump Al Wilson And Snakes — Donald Trump at a rally in Cedar Falls, Iowa read the lyrics from a song which few Millennials know by  a singer which few Millennials have heard to illustrate the wisdom of allowing Muslim refugees from ISIS controlled territory.

He made it work.

The singer is Al Wilson and the song is The Snake which was released in 1968.

Here are the lyrics.

On her way to work one morning, down the path along the lake, a tender-hearted woman saw a poor, half-frozen snake.  His pretty colored skin had been all frosted with the dew.  ‘Oh, well,’ she cried, ‘I’ll take you in and I’ll take care of you.’  ‘Take me in, O tender woman, take me in, for heaven’s sake.  Take me in, O tender woman,’ sighed the vicious snake.  She wrapped him up all cozy in a curvature of silk and then laid him by the fireside with some honey and some milk.  Now, she hurried home from work that night.  As soon as she arrived, she found that pretty snake she’d taken in and revived.  ‘Take me in, O tender woman.  Take me in, for heaven’s sake.  Take me in, O tender woman,’ sighed the vicious snake.

“Now she clutched him to her bosom.  ‘You’re so beautiful,’ she cried, ‘but if I hadn’t brought you in, by now you would have died.’  She stroked his pretty skin, and then she kissed him and held him tight.  But instead of saying ‘thank you,’ that snake gave her a vicious bite.  ‘Take me in, O tender woman.  Take me in, for heaven’s sake.  Take me in, O tender woman,’ sighed the vicious snake.  ‘I saved you,’ cried the woman, ‘and you bit me.  Heavens, why?  You know your bite is poisonous, and now I’m going to die.’  ‘Oh, shut up, silly woman,’ said the reptile with a grin.  ‘You knew darn well I was a snake before you took me in.’

And here is the song.
