How To Write In Sharon M Devaney — I wasn’t planning to make an effort, and I’m still not, if you think about it.
Really, how much money does this cost?
But then certain people just tick you off.
If you are interested in writing in Sharon M Devaney for Delaware County Council below is how you do it.
The image below is based on the GOP ballot but if you are a Democrat you may most certainly write me in in your primary. You really don’t want more hospitals to disappear, and the taxes to continually rise by 24 percent, after all.
Wild Night At The Phoenix Grill — Josh Prince’s meet and greet, May 1, at the Phoenix Bar and Grill in Aston was wild.
Not because of Prince, of course.
Prince is the unendorsed Republican candidate for Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court in the May 20 Primary.
He was the scheduled speaker along with Lou Perti, a candidate for Upper Chichester commissioner.
According to our source, Lou brought with him Chichester School Board candidate Tim Crawford; and Tessalieni Kelley, who heads Chester’s GOP.
Also attending was Charlie Alexander. Charlie is running a write-in campaign for Delco Council after being removed from the ballot in a rather cheap trick.. He did get 1,500 signatures, after all.
Charlie, as he is running a campaign and has a strong following, was invited to take the mic as a courtesy to make some short comments.
His attendance, by the way, had not been announced much less that he’d be a speaker.
Well Charlie, as per our source, saw Crawford and Kelley, who he blames for some of his problems. He called them out and the comments became a rant.
After returning the mic, Charlie left the room and touched Crawford on the way out. Some say it was a brush. Some say it was a slap. Regardless, nobody was knocked down or hurt.
The confrontation continued in the parking lot.
We understand a police report was filed later that night but no charges have resulted.
Regarding Prince, the crowd was apparently pleased with what he said.
Advice for Charlie, who actually sometimes has good ideas and articulates them well:
Grow thick skin.
My way or the highway means you end up on the highway.
I sought the GOP endorsement for the May 20 primary for Delaware County Council but I didn’t get it.
Such is life.
I will be writing my name in but that’s a matter of principle.
I’m not expecting to win.
My fiancé says he will be writing my name in too, however, so I’ll have at least two votes.
If one should care to write me in use Sharon M. Devaney.
I’ll be backing the Republican ticket this November, regardless.
Unless it includes a chicken farmer who calls the employers of political opponents to try to get them fired.
While I, too, am sick of 23.8 percent tax hikes; the destruction of Delco’s health care system; and corrupt politicians being rewarded, I guess there is a limit.
And no, I’m not running for Haverford School Board either as some think.
I no longer live in that township, after all.
I’m just a children’s book author. Jack Posobiec is a fan, by the way.
I’m also Delaware County Coordinator for Blexit. With me and Kayleigh McEnany are Seson Adams and Alfe Goodwin, also of Blexit. Alfe is Blexit’s state director.
Well Philly’s DA Election is less than a month away. But is it the only election race that counts in Philly this year? And if not, should it be? There are also races for one judicial seat on the Commonwealth Court (“CC”) and another for the Superior Court (“SC”). Both political parties have candidates running for each judicial seat. There is no doubt that all these elections play a vital role in applying, enforcing, and shaping state and city law. The Primary Election is on May 20. The deadline to register to vote or to change your Party is before that on May 5 Register to vote or switch parties here, in seconds, for free: https://www.pavoterservices.pa.gov/pages/VoterRegistrationApplication.aspx.
Pennsylvania is one of a handful of states that still elects its judges in partisan political elections. This process often frustrates voters because they are not advised on the open positions and the candidates running for them. This should be an essential responsibility of political party leaders (i.e., Chairpersons, Electors, State Committee Persons, Ward Leaders, Committee Persons, etc.); Election Officials; and even attorneys. However, in Philly voters are often misguided into believing these elections are more about supporting President Trump while silently trying to undermine his direction. Such misguidance is wrong, possibly even treasonous. This coming Primary Election is about the safety, health, and welfare of all residents, guests, and businesses within the city. It is Philly First when it comes to the people, law, order and safety, and that is America First.
Since Soros-backed incumbent DA, Larry Krasner, took office on New Years Day, 2018, homicides are up 50% . Gun shooting assaults also increased by 54%. This means that over the past 7½ years, Mr. Krasner’s Office has been successful in failing to prosecute these and other felonies, e.g., robberies, thefts, drug sales, etc. These numbers do not even factor his 2020 failures to prosecute the vandals who torched, destroyed, and looted Philly during the George Floyd riots. In reports of the New York Times, Mr. Krasner’s office dismissed or dropped charges in approximately 98% of the 558 criminal cases related to them. This involved about 544 individuals and 99% of the charges where three-fourths of these cases were related to commercial burglary or trespassing. On behalf of the city, in conjunction with former Mayor Jim Kenney, Mr. Krasner also dropped up to 2,000 summonses. Clearly, during his tenure Mr. Krasner established that he is derelict in his duty to promote public safety. As the city’s Prosecutor and enforcer of the state’s and city’s criminal laws, promoting safety is his job. See PROSECUTORS LIKE KRASNER GO SOFT-ON-CRIME AND IT HAS CONSEQUENCES FOR CITIES
Philly needs to elect a new DA. So who are its registered Republican and Independent Voters going to vote for? Especially since the state and local Republican Party (“GOP”) failed to produce a Trump supporting candidate. Many people are asking. The only person to step up for this challenge is Honorable President Judge Patrick Dugan (retired; Democrat) who sat in Philly’s Municipal Court (“MC”) since five years before Mr. Krasner became DA—you know, before all the above increases. Judge Dugan may not be Pro-Trump, but one thing is for sure, he is not Pro-Soros. And he is Pro-Law & Order—just like President Trump.
So which, if any, of the coming elections are most important to Philly? Are not all PA elections and courts the same? Why would a guy who was a Judge want to be DA? And why is Mayor Cherelle Parker, Council President Kenyatta Johnson, and all of City Council, remaining silent on these elections? Their silence and the answers to these questions reveal why everyone in Philly needs to stop voting straight-lever party lines.
As to all these levels, the CCP serves as the primary trial courts. In Felony Criminal, Family, and Civil matters in excess of $50,000, cases are heard by the judge on bench or by a jury overseen by the bench. It also hears de novo appeals in cases arising from the minor courts. To distinguish, the CC and the SC, as third tier statewide courts, are appellate courts. The CC is unique. PA is the only state in America to have one. Although it is third tier, it handles original civil action claims brought by state and those cases filed against it. The CC also hears appeals raised from final orders of certain state agencies. See PA Statute, 42 Pa.C.S. §§ 761-764. The SC handles appeals of Civil, Family, and Criminal cases arising from the CCP.
These elected positions affect and effect our daily lives. Everyone understands the DA’s job is to protect the public from criminals. But many people have no idea what judges do throughout the different courts to do the same. By understanding their function, it becomes clear that Philly now has a rare opportunity to use Judge Dugan’s experiences and abilities as a MC Judge in the DA’s Office. For these reasons, everyone in Philly should make the DA’s Primary Race their first priority on May 20.
In PA, there are four judicial levels. They make up the Commonwealth’s Unified Judicial System. First, the Minor Courts, being the County Magisterial Courts (Civil & Criminal) and Municipal Courts (Civil, Criminal, and Special, Treatment). Second, the County Courts of Common Pleas (“CCP”) (being Civil, Family, and Criminal). Third, the statewide intermediate appellate courts, being the CC and the SC. Fourth, the State Supreme Court which is the ultimate state authority overseeing all of them. See Pennsylvanians for Modern Courts, Pennsylvania Court Structure @ https://www.pmconline.org/resources/pennsylvania-court-structure (c. 2024) (retrieved April 21, 2025).

In this coming Primary, Philly has nine vacancies on its CCP. The Democrats have 10 candidates running for them. The GOP failed to nominate any candidates. The same for any of its local grass-root subgroups. As to the MC, there are 3 vacancies. The GOP, as well as any local grass-root subgroups, again failed to nominate anyone; whereas, the Democrats nominated 5 people.
Philly’s DA Office functions in pretty much all of these courts. In essence, the Office is almost always the second responder to crime and the victims, following the Police. If the Office decides to prosecute a case, it will begin in the minor courts. The presiding judge addresses whether the charges are reasonable; if serious enough, transfers them up to the CCP; conducts Preliminary Hearings; decides if bail should be set; and decides minor cases like: misdemeanors and civil small claims; landlord-tenant; and other problem-solving matters. This is what Judge Dugan did fairly and objectively for twelve years. Philly now needs him to apply those experiences as DA.
As to the noted judicial vacancies, there are excellent candidates in each race. For the CC, the GOP nominated attorney, Matthew Wolford, Esquire, while a local grass-root subgroup, opposed it and nominated attorney, Joshua Prince, Esquire. On the other side, the Democrats nominated Honorable Stella Tsai of the Philadelphia County CCP. She is running unopposed. For the SC vacancy, the GOP nominated Honorable President Judge, Anne Marie Wheatcraft, of the Chester County CCP. The same local grass-root subgroup, opposed and nominated attorney, Maria Battista, Esquire. The Democrats nominated Honorable Brendan P. Neuman of the Washington County CCP. He is running unopposed. For the CCP, the Democrats have 11 nominations for 9 vacant seats, and 6 nominations for 3 vacant seats in the MC. Sadly, neither the GOP, nor its local subgroup, produced any candidates. Interested in them? See the City Commissioners’ website at: https://vote.phila.gov/voting/candidates-for-office/. See also Pennsylvanians for Modern Courts, Meet the Candidates, 2025 Judicial Election @ https://www.pmconline.org/current-judge-selection-process (providing more details).
There is no doubt that every judicial candidate is qualified. But the Republican nominations only beckon the questions: If the GOP can find and nominate Republicans to run for intermediate level judicial vacancies, why did they not find and nominate ones to run for DA , CCP, or MC, in their coming Primary? Are the members of the GOP not really Trump Supporters? So why are they not following President Trump’s direction? The same goes for all local GOP grass-root subgroups.
It may very well be because those same leaders of the GOP tend to mislead their local subgroups. For example, back in February, many grass-root GOP subgroups throughout the state were at odds with their GOP, while simultaneously relying on it for party-related advice. They were disputing over who should be the next GOP Chairman. It could also be because certain subgroups, in actuality, were assisting the Democrats and the RINOs in dividing the Party to promote a candidate favorable to them. These circumstances reveal two significant problems within the state and local GOP—leadership and guidance.
The coming Primary makes it more obvious. For the CC, the GOPs endorsed Mr. Wolford. But, after receiving GOP advice, certain local grass-root subgroups endorsed Mr. Prince. For Superior Court, the GOPs endorsed Judge Wheatcraft. But, after receiving GOP advice, those local grass-root subgroups endorsed Ms. Battista. In the DA’s Race, despite knowing that a candidate needs to win in the Primary, the GOPs failed to produce a candidate and near simultaneously proposed that all Republican Voters use the Primary to “nominate” Judge Dugan as a write-in candidate. They call this the suburban “Pike-Allegheny County Plan”. And with this, the local grass-root subgroups that endorsed Mr. Prince and Ms. Batista agree. Sounds like a really great and elaborate plan of the Democrats and RINOs to win everything in November but the DA’s Office. Remember, in Philly the Democrats straight-lever always wins. And with this Pike-Allegheny Plan, Judge Dugan will not be part of that straight lever.
It means nothing to be a Trump Supporter if you do not follow his direction. He has proven that he will work with Democrats if they will work with him. He even hired some from Philly to defend him in his last Impeachment Trial. So in this coming Primary, that direction is to win by promoting law enforcement, order, and public safety. That would be a vote for Judge Dugan as a Democrat over Mr. Krasner in the Primary. One thing is for sure, he may not like President Trump, but his Honor agrees with that direction. Whether he likes President Trump is immaterial, irrelevant, highly prejudicial, and only serves to confuse the 2025 Elections before the Primary, and well before the General in November. If allowed to do so, Mr. Krasner and George Soros win.
They know that as well.

And may God always Bless and keep Philadelphia and America safe.
So, let’s face the facts and truth. On the national level, the Republican Party regained governmental control to the dismay of Philly’s extremist left/Soros-backed, two-term District Attorney Larry Krasner.
This was because of President Donald Trump.
The Executive Office, Congress, the Senate, and even the Supreme Court are Republican again.
But the extremism of a new Democratic Party—which is not loyal to America or the old regime party of Democrats—continues. Many people refer to the new group as a “resistance” but that is incorrect. They are a new group of American politicos having unconstitutional ideologies. Their beliefs conflict with our Constitution, its Amendments, and our Founding Fathers’ intent and morals.
This new party is led and made up of wealthy and knowledgeable globalists and socialists (immigrants and natural born citizens) who are “Democrats in name only” (“DINOs”). Some are also seasoned Democrats blinded by greed and a disregard for the Constitution. They seek out our citizenry to miseducate and mislead for their own personal and financial gain. As a result, those citizens become conditioned, reconditioned, and indoctrinated into the DINOs’ new party. This same insurgence continues in Pennsylvania. It is that same force that Mr. Krasner relies upon while bidding for re-election this year. His only challenger is the Honorable Judge Patrick Dugan (retired), who is a Democrat.
Since 1991, these DINOs gained control of Philly politics. As of today, there is an overwhelming 7-1 voting ratio of Democrats over Republicans. But the old school, regime Democrats are busy fighting to keep control within that ratio while the PA and Philly GOP just watch. Yes, the Democrats are in an inner-party civil war, not just in Philadelphia but throughout the entire state. Their fight is not really with the Republicans as you would think. In fact, in Philly the GOP is content being the “third arm” of those old school Dems. They are: “Republicans in name only” (“RINOs”). In this coming 2025 election, the Old School Dems and RINOs have chosen Judge Dugan to be their candidate.
So, the real fight is between the extremist left and the old regime Democrats. Adding to the election variables, many independent voters will be voting in November rather than in May. But it is still the political dominance of the Democrats that controls the results of the coming elections. Philly’s DA election corroborates this existing war.
And despite the efforts and intentions of conservative activists like Scott Pressler, a.k.a., “The Persistence”, flipping Philly and/or Pennsylvania “Red” will neither end the war on crime, nor make the GOP a serious contender in the fight. Bipartisan majority rule simply does not work here. There has been too much party intermingling by voters, community leaders, and political leaders, over the years.
For example, in 1991 former Democratic Mayor, Frank Rizzo, was running for a non-consecutive third term (as a Republican) against Democrat, Ed Rendell. Mayor Rizzo switched over many Democratic voters to become Republican and won the Republican Primary. It appeared he was going to beat Mr. Rendell in November. But God’s calling on Mayor Rizzo prevented that. Mr. Rendell then became Philly’s 96th Mayor (from 1992 to 2000), and eventually PA’s 45th governor (from: 2003 to 2011). Coincidentally, Mr. Rendell, endorsed the legacy and statue of Frank Rizzo—while being Mayor–on Dec. 30, 1998, and again on Sept. 28, 2016. The same legacy and statue that Mr. Krasner attacked when he first ran for DA in 2017. Thereafter, the now retired Governor Rendell abandoned his endorsements of Mayor Rizzo and had gone into the illegal “Safe-Injection Site” business. In fact, in 2020 he even tried to set up the first Safe-Injection Site in Frank Rizzo’s old South Philly neighborhood. But the now intermingled old school Dems and RINOs resisted him as if being led by Mayor Rizzo himself. Mr. Rendell promoted it until the Third Circuit Court of Appeals stopped him in the matter of: United States of America v. SafeHouse (Nonprofit Corp.) and Jose Benitez, No. 20-1422 (3rd Circ. 2021), on January 12, 2021.
The PA GOP’s recent inner-party election meeting of its chairman around Feb. 5, 2025, is another example of this flip-flopping party practice. In that election, Bill Bachenberg, a proven Trump-Loyal, candidate was defeated by a RINO candidate while the State GOP ignored the statutory Right-to-Know Requests of its’ voters. They asked their GOP leaders to produce its’ list of State Committee Persons who were voting on their behalf. They also sought the election results so they could see how their State Committee People voted. This election was (and still is) significant because it is an indicator of whether the GOP will support President Trump’s agenda on the federal and state levels over the next four years. By way of Philly’s present DA Race, it is clear the GOP abandoned Philly politics already.
For instance, at the GOP election its’ members were aware of their fiduciary obligations to produce qualified candidates for the coming DA Primary. They failed to do so. But one thing is for sure, the past years of Mr. Krasner’s administration placed the GOP on notice that he needs to be replaced. If not, crime will continue to run wild on the streets of Philadelphia.
The importance of this coming DA Primary election should have been the ultimate priority for the departing and incoming GOP Chairmen. Also, for the Republican State Committee People who voted during the meeting. But it was not. Why is that? Everyone in Philly knows that when a Democratic candidate wins a Democratic Primary, he or she will win in the coming General Election.
Thereafter, the GOP decided it would not seek nominations for the DA candidacy because it would not be running a candidate in the race. Republican voters then reached out to several qualified Republicans to see if they would run against Mr. Krasner. They declined explaining they could not rely on the GOP’s funding or other support. Even private donors declined for the same reasons. The prospective candidates also elaborated that they could not afford to invest and lose their own savings on an impossibility. So, within these decisions the GOP also decided it would endorse Judge Dugan to compete against Mr. Krasner in November. On May 20th, it hopes to register 1,000 Republican votes to nominate Judge Dugan to become a Republican candidate. But how is that possible when PA is a “Closed Primary State”?
According to Philly’s City Commissioners Office a nomination such as this is not prohibited under Pennsylvania’s Election Statute, a.k.a., “The Election Code”, or its’ public policy. The Office clarified that the Code is applied like a double-edged sword. On one side, a lack of legislative expression does not prohibit the forgoing tactics. On the other side, that same lack of expression allows them to be acceptable. See https://www.pa.gov/agencies/vote/elections/types-of-elections.html. See alsohttps://philadelphiabar.org/?pg=JudicialElectionsFAQ.
This ambiguity in the Code simultaneously raises questions of law and public policy—but only if raised in court. Most likely, both candidates are researching these questions for court if necessary. In the interim, what are voters to do?
Just vote? If so, for who? Switch parties or join the old school Democrats so they could defeat Mr. Krasner together? Stay in or join the GOP and take a chance in nominating Judge Dugan for November? Or, give up on voting altogether?
Well, citizen groups like the Neighbors of Port Richmond are coming together to do what the GOP and the old regime Democrats are not doing for them. They are having a FREE Town Hall Meet & Greet at the Polish Eagles Sporting Club (at 3257 E. Thompson St., Phila., PA 19134) with both candidates appearing on Saturday, May 3, 2025, between 12:00 noon and 1:00 p.m. For information, contact: Doris Lynch at 215-900-9313. The Club is donating its’ facilities. A cash bar will be open. Everyone is welcome.
Questions can be raised to both candidates. They will be attending the event at different times so each candidate can speak openly with everyone. Mr. Krasner will be there from noon until 12:30 p.m. Judge Dugan will then be there from 12:30 p.m. until 1 p.m. Voters can ask Mr. Krasner: Why should they not switch parties and join with the Democrats to vote against him at the Primary? As to Judge Dugan, they can ask: Whether he prefers to win in May or November? Will he accept a possible write-in nomination from the Republicans for November? And whether he can win in November if he could not win in May?
Let’s face it, in this race to make the votes count for Philly everyone should join the Democratic Primary to make their votes count in a win. It should always be “Philly First” and not “Party First”. As President Trump once said: “Bad things happen in Philadelphia”. Especially in Philly politics. So why take the GOP’s chance? Or is it really the DINOs and RINOs hidden idea to assure Mr. Krasner’s win?
So, here it is. A free event and chance to decide on how to vote to save Philly. And possible questions to ask too. Can we really choose to not attend this free event? While other party-related fund raisers may be scheduled, there’s no guaranty that any of them will give voters this opportunity to decide how the city can be saved.
As everyone knows, Philly’s Elections are won during the Primary. So those 1,000 Republican votes intended to nominate Judge Dugan in May for November simultaneously become 1,000 votes to be used against him in May. Vote smart. If the plan is to beat Mr. Krasner, Judge Dugan needs every vote he can get in May to do it.
Judge Dugan has 17 years of experience on the Municipal Bench. He served the last 12 being the President Judge. Much like former District Attorney, the Honorable Lynne Abraham (serving 19 years from: May 1991, to January 2010). He–as did she–will put his trial experiences as a Court Administrator and Trial Judge to good use as a Prosecutor promoting the law and justice fairly and orderly.
He also has the support of the Philly Court system, the Police and FOP, and many of the local Unions. Comparatively, Mr. Krasner has Cop haters; the families of the criminals he let out of prison; and those “alleged” criminals that he failed to prosecute. With Republican and Independent help in the Primary, Judge Dugan can win. Those voters can then re-register as they like. The Commissioner’s Office also confirmed the Code does not prohibit voters from doing it. So, it can be done.
Indeed, whoever wins the Primary wins the battle for the DA’s Office. But the real war is fighting crime on the streets of Philly. The winner shall determine how this war is to be fought on those streets—the same streets that Frank Rizzo would have fought Mr. Krasner if he was still around. Undoubtedly, President Trump would do it too if he could.

Besides the 36th District Senate Special Election on March 25, there was also State House 35 District Special Election, which the Democrat Candidate won handily.
The results were:
Dan Goughour (D) 6,797
Charles Davis (R) 3,757
Adam Kitta (L) 166
There was also a write-in candidate, Alex Pagareski, whom, no one voted for, not even Alex.
Dan Goughour has served as a Mckeesport Police Officer and was a member of the McKeesport Area School District. He said he plans to “strengthen public safety by providing funding for firefighters, police and first responders.”
Charles Davis was a member of the White Oak Borough Council and a volunteer firefighter. He ran on a platform of change and lower taxes.
“For over 50 years, Democrats have controlled HD-35, yet county data still shows that many areas in our district lack the resources, services, and support they desperately need. It’s time for new ideas.” Reading the “key messages” for Alex Pagareski, one kept waiting for the English translations. See also the Candidate Connection section.

Charlie Alexander’s Case In Commonwealth Court — Greg Stenstrom’s article describing the state of Charlie Alexander’s crusade through the courts is below.
Charlie was kicked off the May 20 GOP primary ballot for County Council in Delaware County, Pa., after the party challenged his filing.
This was after he gathered 1,500 signatures which was six times the number needed.
The challenge was based on an improper filing of his financials. Charlie was not trying to hide anything. His disqualification was due to an easily correctable technicality.
We have made many of the the same points as Greg does in his article.
Pennsylvania’s ballot access laws are vague and complex on purpose. They are designed to disadvantage candidates who don’t meet establishment approval.
Change is needed.
Frankly, becoming an open primary state would not be a bad idea.
Yes, Charlie should be on the ballot.
Some are demanding to know Charlie’s specific sin.
Charlie attached his financial interest form to his petitions but failed to file it with the Delaware County clerk. This is an easily correctable mistake. He was obviously not trying to hide anything.
By Greg Stenstrom
In a sweeping challenge to what he calls “an abuse of election law and partisan weaponization of the courts,” Republican County Council candidate Charles E. Alexander filed a comprehensive appeal this week to the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania to overturn his unlawful removal from the May 2025 Primary Ballot and expose a systemic pattern of candidate suppression by political operatives in both the GOP and Democratic Party. His case, 386 CD 2025, now serves as the lead case exposing a systemic pattern of partisan interference and candidate suppression across Southeastern Pennsylvania.
“This case is about every American’s right to run for office and provide honest public service without the self-serving interference of party insiders and their misuse of the courts to decide elections before voters can,” said Alexander.
The filings allege that political attorneys representing both Republican and Democratic interests have coordinated to remove non-endorsed and grassroots candidates, exploiting minor technicalities and court procedures to disqualify candidates without due process.
Pattern of Suppression and Judicial Misconduct
Between March 18 and March 21, 2025, Delaware County Judge George A. Pagano issued orders removing Alexander from the ballot based on trivial paperwork defects in his Statement of Financial Interests. The petition was filed by attorneys closely aligned with party leadership, at the last possible moment before the challenge deadline, without notice or opportunity for Alexander to respond meaningfully. Judge Pagano ruled without providing factual findings, or a written opinion — contrary to established due process requirements.
Over 50 candidates in Delaware and Montgomery Counties have been similarly removed from ballots over the past two weeks, many without hearings, opinions, or procedural safeguards.
Alexander’s filings further reveal that political operatives and county solicitors appear to have solicited private petitioners as proxies to file last-minute challenges in coordination with party leaders, weaponizing the courts to control who appears on local ballots.
Emergency Appeal and Demand for Judicial Accountability
Alexander’s appeal demands that the Commonwealth Court:
1. Vacate the trial court’s orders and restore Alexander to the ballot immediately.
2. Issue a precedential opinion prohibiting candidate removals without written findings and hearings.
3. Investigate and disclose the partisan coordination behind these filings.
The appeal is supported by over two dozen filings, including Judicial Notices documenting that the same pattern of removals occurred in Montgomery County, where 42 candidates were struck from ballots under similar circumstances.
Alexander is being assisted by Gregory Stenstrom, a forensic computer scientist and elections integrity advocate who has been litigating and exposing election misconduct in Pennsylvania for four years.
“We are documenting a deliberate, systemic effort to suppress political competition through procedural trickery and misuse of the courts. If the courts refuse to protect constitutional rights, we will continue this fight to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and federal courts,” said Stenstrom.
Documented Pattern of Candidate Suppression and Key Findings from Court Filings:
Alexander’s filings include detailed Judicial Notices revealing:
• In Delaware County, 12 ballot objection cases were filed between March 13–25, 2025. 10 candidates were removed, 1 withdrew, 1 prevailed. Judges Pagano and Whelan presided over all cases.
• In Montgomery County, 42 separate objection cases were filed between March 18–27, 2025. 100% of challenged candidates were removed. Every case was decided by President Judge Carolyn Carluccio.
• In both counties, all removed candidates were non-endorsed, grassroots, or outsider candidates. Not a single endorsed party candidate was removed.
• The objections were filed by a small circle of politically connected attorneys closely affiliated with county committees and party leadership.
“These are not isolated technical errors,” said Stenstrom. “They are deliberate, coordinated efforts to keep political outsiders off the ballot and deny voters a choice.”
Public Access to Court Filings
All filings, Judicial Notices, and supporting documents are available for public review at:
The case underscores the urgent need for transparency and accountability in Pennsylvania’s candidate qualification process. Members of the public, journalists, and elected officials are encouraged to review the filings and demand answers as to why courts and county officials are participating in systematic exclusion of candidates without meaningful public notice, process, or justification.
The stupidity was compounded by a crowing statement dissing the fellow’s supporters followed by a mocking meme.
We’ll further note that we like Delco’s GOP leadership. We think Chairman Frank Agovino, Dave Galluch, Michael Straw and Rob Jordan are decent guys despite the attacks on them. We are convinced that they are honest and mean well.
The buck stops with the leadership, though, which means the division is the leadership’s fault.
We encourage Delco’s Republican leaders to reach out quickly to the other side. Start with Leah Hoopes and Greg Stenstrom.
Leah and Greg have legitimate grievances with the Delco GOP. They were abandoned when they spoke out in 2020 after the presidential election which caused them tremendous personal suffering.
We also suspect they will mistrust any peace offering. We are convinced, however, they will listen to reason as their goals are sincere and anything but mercenary.
The GOP bosses don’t have to concede every one of their points, either. They must, however, concede that they have points.
Really, Frank, when the Dems tried to change the law to pack the Election Board, don’t ya kinda think it was maybe even just a little red flag?
And why haven’t you made an issue of the Democrat-controlled council’s unwillingness to accept rulings by the Pennsylvania Office of Open Records to release certain election records?
Making that an issue would flip the “election denier” argument right back on them.
Why aren’t they trying to stop the widespread skepticism, after all?
Charlie Off Ballot In Delco — The Delaware County (Pa) Republican Party has successfully removed Charlie Alexander of Marple from the ballot for the May 20 primary election.
Despite Charlie getting 1,500 petition signatures for the County Council race.
The challenge concerned the filing of a financial statement.
It was likely an inadvertent misreading of requirements and easily corrected.
Those who enforce the election code are notorious for their insistence on obeying every jot and tittle of it.
At least for those who run against the establishment.
We are not fans of Charlie and we are confident that he would have fairly lost to party-endorsed Liz Piazza and Brian Burke.
It remains, however, an extremely boneheaded move by GOP leaders which they have compounded with a crowing statement dissing Charlie’s supporters, most of whom are honest, very hard working activists and wonderful people.
You know, the kind you want on your side.
We plan on writing in Sharon Devaney and then backing the GOP ticket for the general as it is about the only way of saving Delco from the mind-blowing corruption that effuses the county Democrats like odor from a rock-concert port-a-potty.
We’d also like to point out that we generally like GOP Chairman Frank Agovino and his leadership team. We have no plans to pile on other than to point out that they really screwed up here.
Charlie Alexander and Sharon Devaney in more peaceful times. Unity is necessary to save DelcoCrowing was unwise. Charlie got 1 percent of Delco’s registered GOP voters to sign his petition without much help. Only a bonehead would think an election can’t be decided by 1 percent.
GOP Gives Boneheaded Challenge To Charlie’s Petition — Charlie Alexander X-posted, last night, March 18, that the Delaware County Republican Party is challenging his petition for the May 20 primary alleging he incorrectly filed the required financial statements with the county.
This is mind-blowing stupidity by the GOP.
We think stupid games are unnecessary for party-endorsed Liz Piazza and Brian Burke to beat Charlie.
And a loss by Charlie means that the sore-loser law takes effect preventing him from a third-party run
It might even mean a better outcome.
Treating Charlie with a little respect might even garner his support.
If Charlie should win, of course, it means the people will have spoken and no party can win without its people.
Charlie says he got 1,500 signatures That is 1,250 more than required.
When candidates do the things of which Charlie is accused, it is invariably an innocent misreading of unnecessarily complex and arcane legalese, and easily correctable.
This game playing is only going to cause the many people in this county who think like Charlie to stay home and the GOP will lose a very winnable election.
Even if Charlie doesn’t run as an independent.
And for the record Charlie, Sharon Devaney was never in any secret meetings with the Republican Party.
When Charlie had a beard
