WFYL Rally For America July 2— A Rally for America will be held 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., July 2 at the Conference Center at Valley Forge, 1485 Valley Forge Road, Phoenixville, Pa. 19460. WFYL Rally For America July 2

It is sponsored by WFYL 1180AM. The cost $10 which gives access to speakers and music along with the center’s pool or $14.50 which includes lunch.

Speakers are Steve Piotrowski, Stan Huberfel, Larry Denver, Zach Groff and Sandy Groff.

Piotrowski will describe the new Christian Liberty organization that he is launching and speak about our God-given rights, and revival.

Huberfel, an evangelist, will describe how reform starts in one’s heart not in a political party, church or committee. He will preach on 2 Chronicles 7:14;  1 Peter 4:17 and  James 1 : 22.

Zach Groff of Coalition of Christian Outreach will describe how our Founding Fathers felt about faith.

Denver of Faith and Freedom Coalition will discuss and the responsibilities as Judeo-Christian Citizens in the public square and address the question as to why religious leaders turn their backs on this important area.

Sandy Groff of Luther500 Broadcast will talk about radio pioneer Walter A Maier who encouraged people in the Lord and challenged them to stay true to the Word of God.  Sandy will present in the first person a series of very short stories of events not heard for 70 years.

Free Food At Dental Open House — A Philadelphia dental practice will combine patient healthy food information with new dental procedures at a free open house Saturday, June 25, 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The event will be held in the offices of Sukoneck & Wilson P.C., 2401 Pennsylvania Ave., Suite 1A8, Phila. (215-765-5281).

Present will be Whitney Ingram, host of the weekly Philadelphia radio show, “Food Talk”.

Also present will be Dr. Rick Wilson and Dr. Shu-Zhen Kuang.

The free event will include seeing and learning of the latest pain-free dental equipment.

A free buffet, photos with Ms. Ingram and free take-home dental-related gifts will be offered.

The play ponders the fate of newspapers in the 21st century.

Plot points include:

— The company again streamlines the workforce eliminating even more jobs.

— The company starts outsourcing their ad production to India.

— The company goes bankrupt and is force to sell to another hedge fund.

Porter, a former F-15 pilot, is executive director of Constitution Leadership Initiative of Yorktown, Va. Duffy is a professor at Widener University.

Spring Craft Event Cometh — The Haverford Guild of Craftsmen’s Spring Fine Arts and Crafts Show will be April 30 and May 1 at Saint Anastasia School, 3309 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square 19073. Spring Craft Event Cometh

Saturday hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Event spokeswoman Judy McGrane of Springfield notes that the show features works for sale by a large and varied group of Delaware County artists, including painters, potters, photographers, jewelers, wood, clay, leather and glass workers.

The Haverford Guild was chartered in August 2009 as the 16th chapter of the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen.

The parent guild is headquartered in Lancaster and was founded in 1942. It is among the oldest professional craft guilds in the country.

The public is invited to attend the Delaware County Veterans Memorial Monthly Casket Flag Raising Ceremony, 5 p.m., Sunday Nov. 8, which will be done in honor of Marine Corps veteran and former Upper Darby police officer Edward F. Crawford Sr.

Mr. Crawford was a veteran of World War II, Korea and Vietnam. He received five Purple Hearts, the Bronze Star and numerous other awards including a nomination for the Congressional Medal of Honor.

The ceremonies will become a regular feature at the Memorial to be held the second Sunday of the month starting in April.

The Memorial is at 4599 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, Pa. 19073.
