Remember Poor State Worker This Tax Season — The Philadelphia Inquirer, yesterday, Nov. 25, editorialized on the need to hike the fees on those planning on drilling for natural gas in the Marcellus Shale.

Exactly! The state needs more money! Our bureaucrats and legislators are underpaid! And think of our poor teachers!!

But why should we stop the new taxes at natural gas drilling? How about a tax on newspaper sales? Why shouldn’t these consumer products be taxed while needy state workers suffer?

Or how about newspaper advertising? How about for every column-inch sold in the Inky, have 6 percent  go to the state? It’s only fair!!

Granted  Doonesbury and opinions as to whether Andy Reid should be fired are far more socially necessary than things like energy independence and home heating, but when it comes to paying those who keep our traffic snarled by manning toll booths and  decide the benefit packages of emeritus professors of physical fitness at our major universities, no sacrifice is too great!!

Larry Sinclair Or  Some Crazy Accusations More Equal Than Others — Herman Cain, the black businessman seeking the Republican nomination for president who was subject to anonymous and unspecific allegations regarding sexual misconduct finally got to face an accuser, Nov. 7, when Sharon Bialek, a Chicago resident with a past history of irresponsible behavior,  held a press conference with her lawyer at her side. Yes, she went into specifics. No corroboration, but there were certainly specifics.

The old, dying but still dangerous, dinosaur old media haven’t stopped talking about it since. Rest assured, though, they will quiet when Cain’s poll numbers drop to a level they deem safe.

Barack Obama, the black senator from Illinois seeking the Democrat nomination for president in 2008, was subject to allegations regarding sexual misconduct and even murder.  On June 18 of that year, Larry Sinclair, a  Chicago resident with a past history of irresponsible behavior,  held a press conference with his lawyer at his side in which he went into specifics. No corroboration. but certainly specifics.

Did the old dinosaurs discuss it for weeks? Don’t be silly. Some crazy, unprovable allegations are just more equal than others.

Clearly,Occupy Wall Street needs to bring their list of “complaints’ to Washington,DC

Some examples:
1)Rham Emmanuel earns $18 million in 3 years after he leaves the White House,as
an “advisor” to a hedge fund :this should read “Unregistered  Lobbyist”..And that’s from just one ,er….one “engagement”.Wanna bet there are a lot more…..

2)The partial list of ex- politicians who earn huge fees for “advising” private equity firms.
While it’s obvious that they are paid for providing high level access to the government,they do  not have to be registered as lobbyists!!!
We are talking big money here!!!

IMO:Most politicians  have never worked  in the private sector ;so clearly there”advice” to smart,savy, hedge fund /private equity managers is limited to a few phone calls and accompanying  the “money people” to a meeting with the right Federal or State public official.

OWS Hippies Meet Reality With Bank Squabble  — Reader Tom C has sent a couple of links pointing out that the Occupy Wall Street crowd is not only now keeping its money in a bank — those vile capitalist — and squabbling about it, but is learning why criminal justice systems develop, namely the participants are finding themselves victims of theft, vandalism and sexual assault, and learning that their tent camps have become havens for child molesters and such.

They may as well have just stayed home and  read Lord of the Flies.

Forbes.Com reported last April that the three richest counties in the United States were: Falls Church, Va.; Loudoun County, Va.; Fairfax County, Va. with Howard County, Md. coming in fifth behind Hunterdon County, N.J.

These people don’t lobby for government programs because they want to help the poor or even, in many cases, to defend our country.

They want these programs because they give them soft, easy lives.

It’s sort of the same thing that motivated the Sheriff of Nottingham.

Kathryn Bolkovac Gives One More Reason To End The U.N. ==  Kathryn Bolkovac was a policewoman from Nebraska who became part of the United Nations peacekeeping contingent in Sarajevo in 1999.

She found that some of her fellow peacekeepers — including fellow workers of the U.S. military contractor DynCorp — were enslaving young girls and sexual abusing them; keeping them docile by withholding food and with periodic torture.

She blew the whistle. The slavers went to their friends in the U.N. bureaucracy and obtained protection.

It soon became clear that much of the U.N. bureaucracy was using girls for slave labor — and sex — as well.

Ms. Bolkovac was threatened and lost her job. She wrote a book about it which became the film, The Whistleblower, which was released last year.

Has anything changed at the U.N.? No, according to this recent article on PajamasMedia.Com by former U.N. worker Phyllis Chesler.

Maybe passing HR 2829 which is called  United Nations Transparency, Accountability and Reform Act of 2011 and is co-sponsored by much of Pennsylvania’s Republican contingent, however, might what it takes to bring the needed change about.

The ‘Journalism’ Of Joe McGinniss

Joe McGinniss, who was a sportswriter for the Philadelphia Evening Bulletin, a columnist for the Philadelphia Inquirer and was a one-time, long-time resident of Swarthmore, has written a book that is causing much pain in a family and might very well destroy a decent person who has much to bring to the political discourse.

The book is, well, there’s not really a good reason to name it.

But SayAnythingBlog.Com has an article by Rob Port with a first hand description of the style of “journalism” for which McGinniss has become known.

Port is the son of an Alaskan state trooper who had been  tasked with investigating in the 1980s the molestation of several girls — one of whom turned out to be Port’s sister–  by a Wasilla public school teacher named Walter Koenig.

The principal came under fire from the community for not taking complaints about the molestation seriously. Remember, this was the 1980s.

Sarah Palin’s father, Chuck Heath,  was a teacher in the district and he came to the principal’s defense.

McGinniss contacted Port via email  hoping he’d throw some mud on Heath. Instead, Port responded that it was a dead issue and the Heaths and Palins were fine people.

McGinniss then emailed Port with a narrative that implied Heath and Port’s dad were somehow enablers of pedophilia.

Port never responded.

But he did save the email exchange and now they are on his site which can be found here.

The most important thing established by McGinniss is that he is a cancer on journalism, if not the entire human race.

A bizarre, Maoist attempt to squelch dissent by President Barack Obama has earned him the  sobriquet  The Fresh Prince of Bill Ayers which is being tweeted around the world. Fresh Prince Of Bill Ayers

Ayers is the bizarre, Maoist 1960s radical and wealthy Chicagoan  who was instrumental in Obama’s rise to power.

Ayers once said 25 million Americans would have to be eliminated in order to bring about his utopian dream. Ayers is married to Bernardine Dohrn who famously expressed  approval of murder of Sharon Tate and others by the Manson family.

Obama is asking that reports of any criticism of himself or his administration be reported through the website  AttackWatch.Com. It’s clearly an attempt to intimidate but it appears to have backfired as Obama’s opponents on all parts of the political spectrum have been reporting themselves with scathing comments.

Don’t assume Obama’s only opponents are conservatives. It was said after the results of Tuesdays special election for the New York 9th District congressional seat came in, that the president has not only lost the middle, but the left as well.

Kerry, of course, is the progressive-leftist Democrat senator from Massachusetts who was the Democrat candidate for president in 2004 and was the darling of progressive leftists everywhere.

Nancy Pelosi was Speaker of the House until she skillfully lost the post to the Republicans last year. She is worth $58 million. She and her husband, John, own beaucoup real estate in the San Francisco Bay area and a vineyard in Saint Helena. She too is a progressive leftist.

John D. (Jay) Rockefeller IV, a Democrat senator from West Virginia, is worth $200 million. He is the great grandson of robber baron John D. Rockefeller. He is a progressive leftist.

Bill Gates and Warren Buffet, who have each held the title “richest man in the world”, are progressive leftists and give to progressive leftists causes.

Hey all you progressive-leftist, let’s-look-out-for-the-little-guy types out there: did it ever occur to you that you are getting rolled?

Anybody can be a happy hamster now. Burn calories by working smarter AND working harder.

Expect the caring fat cats in our progressive corporations such as Comcast  to start buying these in bulk.

Did you know that the employees of Philly-based Comcast have become Obama’s biggest contributors?

If these workplace treadmills were hooked to generators they could very well save the world. The rat race would become the green rat race as the lean and mean workforce gathers positive momentum and produces electricity while filling out TPS reports in pursuit of six sigma.

Obama stimulus money would certainly be available to hire the guy to beat the drum to set the pace and the large fellows with whips to inspire the slower hamsters.
