Dynamite vs TNT — Dynamite and TNT are not the same. Many people think they are, however, because of Bugs Bunny cartoons.

Dynamite, which contains nitroglycerin, is more explosive than TNT i.e. Trinitrotoluene but much less stable. Because dynamite has a more cost effective blast, it is the preferred explosive in civilian things. Because TNT is far more stable and can be stored longer, that is the boom that is preferred by the military.
