The largest elephant ever recorded was 13 feet 2 inches and weighed an estimated 24,000 pounds. It was shot in Angola in 1956.
I’m not against hunting, but that’s a bit of a shame that it was killed. It was probably one of the oldest elephants, too, having reached that size.
I was thinking the same especially after reading the story.
