As one of the few remaining who still even occasionally glances at the once mighty Philadelphia Inquirer, here are some observations about today’s, July 25, publication.

The public hearing for embattled Newtown (Pa.) Police Chief Dennis Anderson that was scheduled for this evening, July 24 at the Newtown Township Building, has been postponed.
Philadelphia Vote Fraud? Oh yes.
Democrat functionaries like Daylin Leach and Democrat Party propagandists like Annette John-Hall continue to attack Pennsylvania’s photo voter ID bill calling it unfair while wondering if vote fraud can ever be found.
Al Schmidt, party of that body’s permanent Republican minority, has unveiled a study “Voting Irregularities in Philadelphia County, 2012 Primary Election” which focused on cases in 15 of the city’s 1,687 election districts and found cases of double voting, voter impersonation, voting by non-citizens, and 23 cases of people who were unregistered to vote but nonetheless permitted to do so.
Note that this focused on just 15 out of 1,687 districts.
Note that this focused on just a primary election.
If don’t believe vote fraud happens in Philadelphia you must believe in Santa Clause.
Thank you Rep. Daryl Metcalfe (R-12) for Pennsylvania’s photo voter ID law.

Observation Of The Day
One percent of one percent: Liberal Democrat Diane Sawyer, the self-less defender of poor, weak, vulnerable and oppressed championing the cause of equalit: Can she say is earned her $12 million dollars a year without any help? Did we not make her who she is today? Some magical thinkers think her talent may be on loan from God.

Off The Internet–Who Am I?

Who am I?
I was born in one country, raised in another.
My father was born in another country.
I was not his only child.
He fathered several children with numerous women.
I became very close to my mother, as my father showed no interest in me.
My mother died at an early age from cancer.
Although my father deserted me and my mother raised me, I later wrote a book idolizing my father not my mother.
Later in life, questions arose over my real name.
My birth records were sketchy.
No one was able to produce a legitimate, reliable birth certificate.
I grew up practicing one faith but converted to Christianity, as it was widely accepted in my new country, but I practiced non-traditional beliefs and didn’t follow Christianity, except in the public eye under scrutiny.
I worked and lived among lower-class people as a young adult, disguising myself as someone who really cared about them.
That was before I decided it was time to get serious about my life and embarked on a new career.
I wrote a book about my struggles growing up.
It was clear to those who read my memoirs, that I had difficulties accepting that my father abandoned me as a child.
I became active in local politics in my 30’s then, with help behind the scenes, I literally burst onto the scene as a candidate for national office in my 40’s.
They said I had a golden tongue and could talk anyone into anything.
I had a virtually non-existent resume, little work history, and no experience in leading a single organization.
Yet I was a powerful speaker and citizens were drawn to me, as though I were a magnet and they were small roofing tacks.
I drew incredibly large crowds during my public appearances.
This bolstered my ego.
At first, my political campaign focused on my country’s foreign policy…
I was very critical of my country in the last war, and seized every opportunity to bash my country.
But what launched my rise to national prominence were my views on the country’s economy.
I pretended to have a really good plan on how we could do better, and every poor person would be fed and housed for free.
I knew which group was responsible for getting us into this mess.
It was the free market, banks and corporations.
I decided to start making citizens hate them and, if they became envious of others who did well, the plan was clinched tight.
I called mine “A People’s Campaign”.
That sounded good to all people.
I was the surprise candidate because I emerged from outside the traditional path of politics and was able to gain widespread popular support.
I knew that, if I merely offered the people ‘hope’, together we could change our country and the world.
So, I started to make my speeches sound like they were on behalf of the downtrodden, poor, ignorant to include “persecuted minorities.”
My true views were not widely known and I kept them unknown, until after I became my nation’s leader.
I had to carefully guard reality, as anybody could have easily found out what I really believed, if they had simply read my writings and examined those people I associated with. I’m glad they didn’t.
Then I became the most powerful man in the world.
And then the world learned the truth.

Quote Of The Day — Jay Leno
“Jobless claims rose again by 35,000 last week. Not good. But it does show that if you’re unsuccessful in this country, you didn’t do it on your own. You had help. Thank you, President Obama.”

‘Top-Secret’ Spanier, Paterno And Priorities
So they’ve taken down the Joe Paterno statue at Penn State and that is fine but one does wonder at priorities.

TWO INVESTIGATIONS: A NEWS RELEASE FROM ATTORNEYS FOR DR. GRAHAM SPANIER
The Freeh report ignored many important facts, including the conclusions of a far more independent and thorough investigation of Dr. Graham Spanier conducted simultaneously by federal officials responsible for our national security.
Dr. Spanier has for some time held a top secret security clearance in connection with his work with the federal government. This clearance required a re-review when the Sandusky matter surfaced in November. Federal investigators then conducted a four-month investigation of their own in which they interviewed many of the same individuals the Freeh Group interviewed and other relevant individuals Freeh did not interview. At the conclusion of the investigation the government reaffirmed Dr. Spanier’s clearance.
Although Dr. Spanier told Mr. Freeh directly about the federal security investigation and its result, there is no mention of it anywhere in the Freeh report.
The Freeh report is not an independent judicial evaluation. Mr. Freeh, no longer a judge, runs a company that was retained by the Board of Trustees of the University. His report contained numerous inaccuracies and reached conclusions that are not supported by the data. Meanwhile, Mr. Freeh unfairly offered up Dr. Spanier and others to those insisting upon a finding of culpability at the highest level of the University. Mr. Freeh’s conclusions are not judicial or law enforcement pronouncements.
Dr. Spanier looks forward to the opportunity in the future to set the record straight and as we have previously said, all of our thoughts and prayers remain with the young people who are at the center of this terrible ordeal.
