Legacy Media Lied About Abortion

Legacy Media Lied About Abortion — The Democrat Party in their miserable failure of a election campaign made unrestricted access to abortion their battle flag.

And in doing so they and their establishment media minions lied horrifically about the laws passed with the demise of Roe v Wade.

Attorney Heather Hacker testified before the U.S. Senate, Sept. 24, about how shameless the lies told were.

Yes, treatment for ectopic pregnancies are legal in every state.

No, Amber Thurman and Candi Miller were not prevented from getting abortions.

Both, in fact, had abortions. What happened, however, is that they waited far too long after their pregnancies began to take the “morning after” abortion pills allowing the fetuses to become too developed. Parts of them were never expelled and this caused the fatal infections.

We’ve written about the danger of waiting too long to take these pills.

Ms. Miller had bought her pills online.

We warned about that danger too.

Ms. Hacker’s statement can be found here.

Watch her answer questions below.

The lies told by the legacy media and pro-abortion authorities have caused the deaths of women, and much other suffering.

Larry Holmes Apologizes

Larry Holmes Apologizes — Larry Holmes apologized at last night’s (Nov. 12) Haverford Commissioner’s meeting for the Facebook screed he posted two days after the Nov. 5 election concerning Donald Trump’s historic victory.

Holmes represents the 6th Ward and is board president.

He used the phrase “insubstantial minions” that was taken by most to mean Trump voters and “autocrat” to refer to the Donald.

In the longest meeting in memory, township residents Bob Dell and Sharon Devaney stayed until 10:30 p.m. — about a three-and-a-half hour wait — to call Holmes out.

It was a few minutes later during commssioner comments when Holmes made the apology, and it appeared sincere.

He noted he had taken down the post.

Holmes said the phrase “insubstantial minions” was not directed at the voters but about the people around Trump.

He did not apologize for using “autocrat” though.

Dell and Ms. Devaney both accepted the apology.

And while sincere, Holmes’ explanation illustrates that the divide in this country is less about values and goals but about perceptions.

Leaving aside why would would think Elon Musk, Tulsi Gabbard, Bobby Kennedy Jr., Vivek Ramaswamy and JD Vance are either “insubstantial” or “minions”, how could one even think Trump is an “autocrat”?

Did he twist the law to throw an opponent in jail during his first term or shut down dissenting media? Did he start any wars?

Seriously, Larry, consider getting a new source of information.

The vast majority of Trump voters are not bad people. They are rather good people, actually.

Other Matters

The board also unanimously passed a commitment to the long-discussed “Safe Streets for All” program which will use the Safe Systems Approach for a township wide safety action plan. Several citizens including Dory Dowdy and Mike Lee expressed concerns among which were that consultants were taking precedence over residents, and that state roads were not being considered.

The commissioners noted that passing the resolution provides flexibility and doesn’t negate the concerns expressed.

That the township has a problem with safety was not denied.

Ms. Devaney described the accident at Ellis and Lawrence roads seven years ago that left her with permanent injuries. The driver of the striking car was going 70 mph.

Tevin Nix noted that drivers routinely ignore the “do not enter” signs at Darby Road and West Chester Pike.

Victor Cortez, Chris Peter and Beverly, a crossing guard for Manoa School, cited the Manoa and Eagle road intersection at the school as particularly dangerous. Cortez said he, his wife and daughter were hit by a vehicle there while crossing the street with the girl in a stroller. Fortunately, no serious injuries resulted.

As we passed the intersection, this morning we noticed a Haverford police vehicle stationed on a side street, and got a fright when a student crossed Eagle against the light and way outside a crosswalk.

In another matter, the board voted 5-4 to pass the first reading of an amendment to township’s storm water management ordinance concerning a limit to impervious surface.

The board unanimously passed to much praise the Skatium renovation project. This improves locker room facilities for girls participating in sports.

The board heard from several angry residents about poor response to noise complaints concerning pickleball games at Paddock Park.

A man expressed concern about abandoned cars on County Line Road.

Friends In High Places For Luna

Friends In High Places For Luna — Luna Devaney’s pal has been tapped by President Trump to head the CIA. Talk about friends in high places. The photo with Kash Patel was taken Nov. 2 when the Trump Bus Tour made a pre-election stop at Zebby Sulecki, Inc. in Broomall, Pa. Kash is a great choice. The CIA has been a cancer on this country — and the world — for more than 60 years, and we are confident he will bring about the needed changes..

Pepperontini Says Hello World

Pepperontini Says Hello World — Whether this is a new concoction or has been conceived independently, what we have dubbed the pepperontini has taken the crown as the greatest drink.

The plan was to make a basic martini and the preparations were begun only to realize that we had forgotten the freezer isn’t working hence no ice.

With the liquor in the shaker it was time to improvise.

Supermarket pepperoncini was thrown into each glass along with a generous splash of the juice. The booze was then added.

It isn’t just a good drink or even a great drink. It is the merely the greatest.

And it’s easy to make.

Use the standard martini mix of 9 gin to 1 dry vermouth. Add the pepperoncini from the supermarket jar along with the juice.

And there you have it.

Ice is not necessary. In fact, would likely detract from the perfection albeit we could understand why it would be used when summer returns.

For cool autumn nights, however, definitely no ice.

Be careful, though. No ice means no dilution.

Pirates WWII Teams included First Drug-tested Player

Pirates WWII Teams included First Drug-tested Player

By Joe Guzzardi

During World War II, the Pittsburgh Pirates were less affected by the departure of key players than most other Major League Baseball teams who lost superstars like Bob Feller, Ted Williams and Joe DiMaggio to the draft. The Pirates were able to keep their squads mostly intact and added valuable players through trades. Between 1942-45, off to war went the Pirates Oad Swigart who pitched in 10 games in 1939 and 1940, Ed Leip with 35 plate appearances in three seasons, Ed Albosta, a 1946 Pirates twirler with a 0-6, 6.13 ERA mark, and Huck Geary, .160 batting average in two seasons.

Although the 1944 Pirates sent more players to World War II than they did in any previous year, they nevertheless enjoyed their most successful campaign since capturing the 1927 pennant. The ‘44 Bucs, led by one of their wartime acquisitions, All-Star first baseman Babe Dahlgren whom they acquired from the Philadelphia Phillies, posted a 90-63 record and finished a strong second to the St. Louis Cardinals. Dahlgren played in every game of the 1944 season, batted .289 and drove in 101 runs, sixth in the league.

In his two years as the Buccos’ first sacker, Dahlgren hit a respectable .271. Dahlgren, after burning up the Pacific Coast League, broke in with the Boston Red Sox in 1935 when fellow San Fransico native and incoming manager Joe Cronin thought Babe had a chance to be the BoSox starting first baseman, mostly because of his peerless fielding. In an interesting twist, and paralleling the New York Yankees’ Lou Gehrig, Dahlgren played consecutive PCL games from 1931 through 1934.

On the fateful May 2, 1939, the day that Gehrig asked manager Joe McCarthy to scratch his name from the line-up, Dahlgren substituted for the Iron Horse, hit a double and a homer. Dahlgren recalled Gehrig’s kidding reaction after his 2-for-5 day: “He grabbed me when I got back to the bench and shouted at me, ‘Hey, why didn’t you tell me you felt that way about it. I woulda got out of there long ago.” At Lou Gehrig Day, 1941, McCarthy whispered to Dahlgren, “If [a dying] Lou falls over, catch him.”  While baseball historians can quickly respond to the not-very-tough trivia question: “Who replaced Lou Gehrig,” few recall that Dahlgren was the first player ever drug-tested.

Unsubstantiated rumors that Dahlgren smoked marijuana plagued his career and after baseball, his family’s lives. In the 1940s, smoking marijuana was a major scandal. McCarthy and Branch Rickey instigated the rumors and other baseball gossips fueled the fire.  The New York Times writer John Drebinger, who wrote the lead story for every World Series game between 1929 and 1963, a total of 203 tilts, said that McCarthy had told him that the Yankees would have “won the pennant in 1940 had it not been for an error Dahlgren made against the Indians late in the season.” The Yankees’ pilot continued, “Dahlgren doesn’t screw up that play if he wasn’t a marijuana smoker.” When Dahlgren volunteered to test for marijuana, a Philadelphia doctor administered a series of examinations and declared him free of any drug use. Still, the chatter persisted.

Years later, then-MLB Commissioner Fay Vincent told The New York Times reporter Murray Chass that, “People railroaded him [Dahlgren] for illegitimate reasons. It’s a sad story. He was accused of being on drugs when I doubt very much that he was. It’s not one of baseball’s prettiest stories, and I regret that it didn’t get fixed before he died.” [of natural causes in 1996.]  Dahlgren’s grandson Matt wrote an acclaimed book titled “Rumor in Town” that debunks the baseless marijuana allegations. Matt also provided some comforting details about his grandfather’s last 25 years. “Babe continued working with young prospects and eager-eyed players. He had compiled hundreds of rolls of film dating back to the early ‘40s when he used his first 8mm movie camera to capture the likes of Joe DiMaggio and other stars from the past. Little could he have imagined back then that his idea of using film to help struggling ball players would…become a mainstay in modern baseball and coaching.” Unfortunately, these historical and priceless films were lost to the fire that engulfed Babe’s home in 1980.

Safe to say that Babe would be aghast at the common use of performance enhancing drugs in today’s baseball and the wrist slap that passes for punishment. The use, possession, and sale of performance enhancing drugs is a federal felony punishable by a jail sentence and/or fines. If Dahlgren had played in a more tolerant drug-usage baseball era, his and his family’s lives would have had been more peaceful.
