Pepperontini Says Hello World — Whether this is a new concoction or has been conceived independently, what we have dubbed the pepperontini has taken the crown as the greatest drink.
The plan was to make a basic martini and the preparations were begun only to realize that we had forgotten the freezer isn’t working hence no ice.
With the liquor in the shaker it was time to improvise.
Supermarket pepperoncini was thrown into each glass along with a generous splash of the juice. The booze was then added.
It isn’t just a good drink or even a great drink. It is the merely the greatest.
And it’s easy to make.
Use the standard martini mix of 9 gin to 1 dry vermouth. Add the pepperoncini from the supermarket jar along with the juice.
And there you have it.
Ice is not necessary. In fact, would likely detract from the perfection albeit we could understand why it would be used when summer returns.
For cool autumn nights, however, definitely no ice.
Be careful, though. No ice means no dilution.
