Free Electronic Recycling Event At Community College

Free Electronic Recycling Event At Community College — “Almost anything with a plug” will be accepted for free at a recycling event, Sunday, March 25 at Delaware County Community College.

Large appliances are excepted, however, while old-style TVs and CRT monitors will require a disposal fee.

Hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Those planning on getting rid of things should enter via Media Line Road and follow the signs.

The event is sponsored by the Delaware County Council of Governments and the service is provided by PAR Recycle Works, a local non-profit that sells reusable materials collected from electronic devices to fund jobs and job skill development for those released from prison.

Beethoven gave piano lessons William Lawrence Sr Omnibit 3-23-18

Beethoven gave piano lessons. As acclaimed as he was in his day, he still had to give piano lessons for a living. He hated it. Unless, of course, the student was very talented or an attractive woman.

Spring 2018 Starts Now

Spring 2018 Starts NowSpring 2018 Starts Now –According to our server’s clock it is now 12:15 p.m., EDT, March 20, which means the vernal equinox just happened and Spring 2018 has begun.

Equinox is Latin for “equal night.” Days and nights are approximately equal everywhere and the Sun rises and sets due east and west, explains The Old Farmers Almanac. At the equinoxes, the tilt of Earth relative to the Sun is zero, which means that Earth’s axis neither points toward nor away from the Sun.

Vernal comes from the Latin vernalis which means spring.
