I got the message that this comp can’t run Windows 11 either. My reaction: “Good!”
It then suggested hardware upgrades I could install to make it compatible with Windows 11. “So not happening!”
Linux can make an older machine as good as new & it’s not that hard to install.
Speaking from previous experience as a Microsoft Certified Professional attaining the ranks of MCP, MCSA and MCSE I can attest that Windows is a terrible Operating System. Always was and always will be.
Personally I have been using Linux for over two decades and other than my Android phone and Apple tablet I use Linux on all my desktop and laptop computers.
Try Puppy Linux. Small footprint and can run off of almost anything such as CD/DVD/USB drives. Mint is also a good distribution.
