Springfield Police Rock

Springfield Police Rock — We had dinner with some friends at the Bertucci’s in Springfield Square which is in Springfield, Delaware County, Pa.

It was a fine enjoyable meal and evening until we were saying goodbyes at our cars and one of our friends dropped her key chain into the grate in front of the store.

On it were her car key, her house key and her office keys.

Oh, the fun ended.

She didn’t have any spares with her.

We called the Springfield Police.

Yes, we used 911 and there were no issues.

The officers arrived within 15 minutes.

They were Danny and another whose name we regretfully missed.

They shined a light into the pit. The water at the bottom was shallow and the keys were easy to see.

The first plan was to use a magnet to snatch them up but none was available even after checking at the Five Below.

Plan two was lifting the heavy grate and fishing the keys out, which they did.

Thank you Springfield Police. You guys rock.
