Pennsylvania Bigfoot Sighting

Pennsylvania Bigfoot Sighting

The British Daily Mail is reporting a Bigfoot sighting in Pennsylvania, namely the boonies of Bradford County.

John Stoneman, 57, of Bradford says that while he and his girlfriend were returning from the Kinzua Bridge Fall Festival, which was Sept. 21-22, via Kinzua State Park he saw two seven-foot-tall beasts just a few yards from a main road. He slowed down the car and took several photos such as the one above.

We have power because there are more than 3.2 million people who are willing to pay us hundreds of millions of dollars in dues each year.
— Bob Chanin

For the record, Bob, a whole lot of those dues are collected unwillingly. You end the practice of requiring the school district employing them to forcibly deduct dues from their paychecks you’ll find that most of those people stop chipping in. I guess they think you really don’t represent them all that well and don’t feel obliged to pay for your one-percenter lifestyles and support for extremist social policy.

Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Bill Tabled

Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Bill Tabled — House Bill 1538, the bill that would allow counties, municipal governments and school districts
to opt out of Pennsylvania’s onerous prevailing wage requirements, was tabled, yesterday, Oct. 1. Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Bill Tabled

A spokeswoman for State Rep. Daryl Metcalfe (R-12), one of the more responsible political figures in Harrisburg, says the bill is not dead however.

The prevailing wage law, which requires labor cost to be be paid at a
rate set by the state for most public construction projects,  adds 20 percent to the cost of these projects according to Commonwealth Foundation.

HB 1718 Pushes Online Courses

HB 1718 would create a database of online courses in Pennsylvania

Legislation was introduced last week to create a clearinghouse of online courses for students in public schools, nonpublic schools and home education programs, says State Rep. Jim Cox (R-129). The bill seeks to offer greater course choice, enrich educational opportunities and offer a more customized learning experience for Pennsylvania students.

House Bill 1718, the Online Education Initiative, would make the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE)  establish a database of online courses available to public schools in the Commonwealth. Sixth through 12th graders would have the chance to choose courses selected by their school district.

The bill ensures school districts have maximum flexibility to develop their own courses, contract with online course providers and/or use courses available on the clearinghouse.

The bill has been referred to the House Education Committee for consideration.

Fort Belvoir Golf Course Closed? Nope.

Fort Belvoir Golf Course Closed? Nope. — Today’s mull: With the government shutdown having started are the golf courses at which President Obama likes to chill, such as at Fort Belvoir, going to be closed?

Ha

Ha Ha

Hahahahahahahahahahaahaha

Really, we checked. They remain open.

Fort Belvoir Golf Course Closed? Nope.Meanwhile did you see what the morons did to our World War II veterans? A group of them from a Mississippi Honor Flight arrived on a long-scheduled trip to see their memorials today only to find the normally unmanned World War II Memorial barricaded. Well, if the Germans and Japs couldn’t stop them, the Park Police were no match. They just used their wheel chairs to knock them over. Remember, the average age of an Honor Flight participant is about 90.

Something else to mull: the government can reopen in two hours if the Democrats who run the Senate and Obama cooperate just a little.

Toomey Named Taxpayers’ Friend

Sen. Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) has received the National Taxpayers Union’s 2012 Taxpayers’ Friend Award. The 362,000-member nonpartisan citizen group gives this award to members of Congress based on votes related to sensible fiscal policy, lower taxes, and more reasonable regulation of  job creators.

“I made a promise to the taxpayers of Pennsylvania that I would fight for them by tackling Washington’s overspending while championing lower taxes and reducing government red tape,” Toomey said.  “To help boost our economy and job growth, I will continue my efforts to lessen the tax burden shouldered by our families and employers. I thank the NTU for recognizing and supporting my efforts on behalf of Pennsylvania taxpayers.”

Anything To Stop Healthcare

According to Democracy Now,
Republicans in the House are quite upset because the Senate Leader
refuses to call a session to vote on the idea put forward by
Republicans, that threatens to shut down the government if
Obama-care, a health care system that would give the opportunity to
those who were cut out because of pre-existing conditions, the poor,
the lower middle class and working class and millions of working
poor, to purchase insurance, and would make it almost impossible for
bankruptcy to result from large hospital bills.

I must say, during my lifetime, I have
never before seen one part of the government resort to extortion and
holding the citizens hostage, or using them as human shields, to
overturn an initiative voted for and passed by the House and Senate
and signed into law by the President of the United States. This
great turn around, in fact, is after most of the Republican
Representatives and Senators signed onto the bill on the condition
that it would slowly fade in beginning 2014.

Now the U.S. has become the laughing
stock of most of the world. Everything that we stood for in the past
has been turned upside down. We work to export democracy and the
democratic process throughout the world as those who tout democracy,
and who claim to be Christians, do whatever they want to against the
will of the people to keep people poor and destitute without the type
of healthcare that almost every industrial nation (I can’t think of
any that doesn’t), has.

We are being pushed backward and the
heritage of the United States…the True Heritage, is being stolen by
the ones who have pledged to preserve it. This heritage can be seen
in the Declaration of Independence, The Constitution of the United
States, the Gettysburg Address, and on the plaque on the Statue of
Liberty. The belief and application of these values are the only
thing that ever made us exceptional. They are the only things that
differentiated us from most of the western world. They will soon be
gone.

I just pray for our children and their
children as this country erodes into Neo-feudalism and all of those
who wasted their time and energy fighting against true exceptionalism
by trying to push us back to a time of Pre-civil War mentality and
block others from partaking of the opportunities afforded us by this
great nation. For this is what will ultimately bring about the
destruction of this nation and will garner curses and hatred from our
descendents because we didn’t stand up when it was the time and
protect the heritage of our own. Who are our own. Every citizen is
our own.
