E-Z Pass Eyes Speeders

Something of which some may be unaware is that E-Z Pass keeps track of toll lane speeds.

This has been confirmed as occurring in five of the 15 states that use E-Z Pass, reports USA Today. The quintet of nannies is  Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York,  Maryland and Rhode Island.

The toll lane speed limit is generally a 30 mph limit.

Those caught speeding multiple times have their accounts suspended.

As of now only those caught chronically speeding in their own states are subject to suspension as the system, while it can can credit the transponders of out-of-state drivers, does not allow access to other information about them.

We always suspected Big Brother could be spelled E-Z Pass. Our preference is to simply end all attempts to charge for using highways. Let the gas tax suffice for maintaining the infrastructure of which there would be less to maintain if there were no toll booths. The would also mean more entrances and, especially, exits hence more a more efficient traffic system.

Dow Wow Boom Times Now

The Dow Jones industrial average set a record, yesterday, Dec. 23, closing at 18,024.17.

It was the first time it close over 18,000.

That’s almost 2,000 points higher than it was in mid-October.

Golly, what could have happened since then?

In truth, the economy has been humming along since April driven by falling gas prices.

Thank you frackers everywhere.

Just the same, there has been a feeling of optimism through the summer that a brake is going to be put on the bizarre regulatory policies of the Obama Administration and that significant reforms (repeal?) loom for the disastrous “Affordable” Care Act.

Pro Blue Rally Is Jan. 10

Teri Adams of Independence Hall Foundation has announced that the Delaware Valley Pro-Blue Rally will be held 1-2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 10  on Independence Mall, 5th and Market streets, Philadelphia.

“As you well know, the mostly unanswered nationwide protests attacking local police has indirectly led to the assassination of two NYPD Officers, Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Lui, in Brooklyn, New York, this past Saturday,” Ms. Adams said.

She said the rally will show support for the men and women of the various police departments, throughout the Delaware Valley, who take monumental risks, everyday, to protect our lives and provide safety to our loved ones.

She said that several elected officials have already committed to speak at the rally.

She noted the event is  strictly non-partisan and all individuals who sincerely support the efforts of  local police and law enforcement officers are welcome.

She asked that any signage be positive and only reflect support for the men and women in blue.

Abortion Bans Save Lives

Abortion Bans Save Lives

Breitbart.com is reporting that Chile’s abortion ban has saved lives.

Since the South American nation instituted the ban in 1989, the number of maternal deaths has decreased from 41.3 to 12.7 per 100,000. This is a 69.2 percent reduction and puts Chile in second place behind Canada for the lowest maternal mortality rate in the Americas.

That’s right, it’s ahead of the USA.

And no, despite the propaganda of those who promote abortion, the women in Chile are not resorting to illegal abortions because of the ban.

Abortion Bans Save Lives.
Hands up, don’t abort.

The Romans knew that honey prevents wounds from getting infected.

It’s because when the  glucose and glucose oxidase that are in honey are diluted with water and exposed to oxygen they create hydrogen peroxide.

The Romans didn’t know that.

It should be noted that if the if the wound is deep, tightly covered with dressing, or is not discharging pus, this doesn’t happen.
