Abolishing Property Tax Topic At RAF — Jack Merrick, who is running for governor of Oklahoma, was the guest onlast night’s, Jan. 29, edition of Red America First (RAF) and among his subjects was the cruelty of the property tax.
This especially hits home in Delaware County, Pa. considering what happened to 91-year-old Gloria Gaynor of Upper Darby and County Council’s blithe dismissal.
Merrick was addressing a question by RAF contributor and Delco activist Sharon Devaney.
Merrick suggested front-loading mortgages to include the tax which means the tax ends when the mortgage is paid. He also pointed out homesteads — primary residences — can be exempted from the tax.
Either works for us but the first step is cutting the budgets of all governments affecting Pennsylvania residents.
