Bucks GOP Appeals Ruling Requiring It To Follow Charter –– We just been told that Pat Poprik and the Bucks County GOP are appealing the ruling that requires them to follow their charter to Pennsylvania Supreme Court.
Commonwealth Court ruled, Sept. 16, that, well, words mean things, and that one must the rules, especially when they make them.
The ruling was consequential as political parties in the state have been using arbitrary readings of bylaws and charters to stop grassroots challenges to entrenched establishments.
Since Sept. 16, they couldn’t.
The party bosses — and not just in Bucks — want the old way back.
