Mandalay Bay Gun Free Zone, CAIR Supporter — Noted sports handicapper, television producer, political activist and long-time Las Vegas resident Wayne Allyn Root, has interesting questions and observations regarding the Oct. 1 Route 91 Harvest festival shooting.
Mandalay Bay, the hotel-casino from where the killer fired his shots, is a gun-free zone.
Including the security guards.
Root says that when the facility was acquired by MGM Resorts International one of the first acts by CEO Jim Murren was a gun ban for guests and the disarming of most of the security guards.
Root also noted that MGM Resorts lets high-roller clients use the service elevators, a policy not allowed at other Vegas hotels.
Root also notes that if the shooting is called a criminal act rather than a terroristic one, MGM might save millions in insurance payouts.
Root says that Murren was appointed by Barack Obama to Homeland Security Council albeit we think he means the National Infrastructure Advisory Council which is tasked with advising the president on security of the critical infrastructure sectors and their information systems.
Root also notes that from July through September Murren sold off more than 80 percent of his MGM stock and that there was $200 million in insider selling from officers and directors of MGM in September.
Lawrence County 9/11 Rally Went Smoothly — Lynette Mountain tells us that the long-planned — and strangely long-fought — rally in New Castle, Pa. to commemorate victims of the 9/11 terrorist attack went off without a hitch.
Lawrence County had refused to grant a permit unless the rally organizers agreed to indemnify it for possible damages done by counter-protestors.
The county never granted a permit but the organizers Bikers for Trump (Boots on the Ground), and Bikers for America sought a federal injunction allowing it to take place.
Lynette says about 70 persons attended and only one pathetic counter-protestor.
An underlying issue is the disputed sale by the state of the former New Castle Youth Development Center to HIRA Educational Service, a questionable Islamic group based in New Jersey.
Some officials were calling the rally “anti-Muslim.”
Lawrence County Fights 9/11 Rally To Appease Muslims? — A rally to commemorate 9/11 in being stonewalled by Lawrence County, Pa. officials.
The event, scheduled for noon to 3 p.m., tomorrow, Sept. 9 in New Castle, is not being granted a county permit unless the organizers agree to indemnify the county for damages even if done by counter-protestors.
According to Lynette Mountain of Bikers for Trump (Boots on the Ground), her group along with Bikers for America have been planning the event for months to memorialize the 3,000-plus citizens and first responders who died in the 2001 terrorist attack.
She says they have obtained a city permit but the county will not grant one unless the organizers agree to the rules passed Wednesday.
Ms. Mountain says the organizers have sought a federal injunction against the just-passed rules and will hold the rally regardless. She expects attendance to be only between 50 and 100 persons.
She said an underlying issue is the disputed sale by the state of the former New Castle Youth Development Center to HIRA Educational Service, a Islamic group based in New Jersey.
HIRA had the high bid of $400,000 for the 140-acre site in Shenango Township. Issues have been found regarding HIRA — company claims only one employee working in an apartment in Newark, New Jersey, and has not reported income of more than $50,000 in each of the past three years — and the site is being re-auctioned.
Ms. Mountain said her rally is being called “anti-Muslim” by some officials.

Deedra Abboud Defended By Sen. Flake — Bob Small of Swarthmore has let us know that Arizona Republican Sen. Jeff Flake has come to bat for possible Democrat opponent Deedra Abboud, who is Muslim.
Hang in there @deedra2018. Sorry you have to put up with this. Lots of wonderful people across AZ. You’ll find them. Flake tweeted, after Ms. Abboud was subjected to vile and vicious attacks on Facebook.
Good for Flake. Societies must maintain, even impose, their values and two of the values intrinsic to America is that hating your opponents is bad and that one must never fight — as in kill/harm/maim/threaten — about theology.
It’s why Sharia law is incompatible with America. Hopefully, Ms. Abboud understands that.

Let’s be honest here. First, I’m on the same side of this issue, for the most part, as Senator Bob Casey. However, for different reasons. I’m against blowing up innocent people, destroying countries that didn’t attack us, and cre- ating terrorist organizations with our own foreign policy (and have spoken out for nearly a decade). I was also against the Obama administration when they created these bans against Muslims in the past. Trump didn’t start this trend, Obama did. Obama bombed these countries every day of his presidency. If people wouldn’t had seen this from Trump, Bob Casey would not be getting involved; because thousands of people wouldn’t be protesting. He’s coming up for re-election so he’ll go where the crowd is at.
The Presidency is not a dictatorship, and we should fight this no matter which party is in control. Our message as Americans must be consistent, even if our own party is the party that is wrong. President Trump is out of line and acting as a dictator would, but so was President Obama. If we fought for peace for the past decade, this ban on the countries we’ve been in unconstitutional war with would not be an issue. But if we were not fighting a specific person in office, we honestly wouldn’t be hearing about it in 2017 either. We need to look within ourselves and start questioning the people we’ve voted for, instead of blindly following them down the road to serfdom.
