Delco Council Commends Honor Flight Philly

Honor Flight’s year-old Philadelphia hub was commended, today, Aug. 22, by Delaware County Council for its work in honoring veterans. Honor Flight gives veterans trips to Washington D.C. for a day in which they tour their memorials and are treated with special honor. There is no cost to them. As of now, the trips are restricted to World War II and terminally ill veterans although the group soon expects to be including veterans from the Korean War.
