Dem Incumbent Refusing Debate In 161st District
By Bob Small
Pennsylvania’s 161st State House District consists of Aston; Chester Township; Nether Providence; the 1st District of Middletown along with the 1st and 2nd divisions of its 2nd; the 2nd and 7th wards of Ridley, along with the 1st and 3rd divisios of its 1st Ward and the 1st Division of the 5th Ward; and the boroughs of Brookhaven, Rose Valley and Upland.
Incumbent Democrat is Leanne Kruger formerly Leanne Kruger-Braneky.
Ms. Kruger has a BA from Rutgers and an MA from Eastern.
She has declined to debate her Republican opponent, John Mancinelli.
It seems the Democrat Representatives are unable or unwilling to debate their Republican House challengers.
She had previously worked at The Business Alliance for Local Living Economies and was the first executive director of the Sustainable Business Network of Greater Philadelphia.
Mancinelli works for A. Town Properties, a real estate company. An Astonian, he has a St. Joe’s Bachelor degree in marketing and a Master’s degree from Neumann College in Sports Management.
He is also co-owner of Manbroso’s To Go, an Aston pizza shop being rebuilt due to a fire.
He was previously a member of Delco Young Republicans and a board member with CIAO Delco, which supports Italian-American Culture in Delco.
John Mancinelli says his key values are: economic growth and job creation; fiscal responsibility, limited government and public safety.
If one lives in this district, wouldn’t you want to hear a debate between the two contenders? Just saying.
Mr Mancinelli should obtain a rubber chicken and have the debate. This is what Kruger did to Paul Mullen in 2015. Live stream it on social media.
Now today Mullen, a duly elected GOP committee man in the corrupt RINO menagerie known as the Aston GOP is on the stump again for Democrats including for Harris. Just like he was for Sestax against Toomey. You can’t make this up.
The uniparty communists are so predictable. And disgusting.
While I staunchly disagree with and strongly oppose Mr Mancinelli’s time on, and votes to raise taxes and codify tranny policy, as a PDSD school board director he is, quite frankly, the best candidate the GOP has put up since Joe the hack Hackett put his pants back on after leaving Harrisburg.
That said, I believe the fix is already in and the GOP never had any intention of winning this seat in the 161st. If they did there would have been an open primary in the Spring. Period. Full stop.
Lisa Esler would have easily won the 2015 special election if the party picked her rather than Mullen in a back room.

Some things just never change. Here we are, right back where we started and on no better footing.
Actually Ralph was a solid candidate in 2020 but the GOP did him no service by providing very little help and keeping him on a short leash. I believe Mr Mancinelli has learned this lesson as well. Selected to fail.
I volunteered for both Lisa and Ralph.
Lisa was an outstanding candidate. Period.
Ralph, when untethered, such as at the Walk Away event at Rose Tree Park was an amazing speaker and should have easily defeated the D incumbent.
Leeann Kruger is still in office because that is what the uniparty demands and to hell with the voters. Facts.
