Did Haverford Civil Service Commissioner Flee Accident? — We just got a docket sheet from Haverford (Pa) District Justice David Lang’s court concerning a July 8 guilty plea by a person who fled the scene of an accident back in April.
We hear this person is a member of the township civil service commission which is responsible for the hiring of police officers.
While this conviction does not make this person public enemy number 1, this very recent, simple and stupid crime should mean disqualification from making decisions on who should staff the Haverford P.D.
We left a message with the township asking this commissioner to call us.
The punishment was a $464.48 fine.
