Yes, environmentalists say so. But in Spring we see entire fields of bright yellow: that is from spraying Round-up aka Glyphosate to kill all growth. Our government mandates this be done (farmers told me) the same way some farmers are paid to plant a “cover crop” of barley but not allowed to harvest it. And you’ll see brown where Round-up was sprayed along highways. Maybe they use Atrazine? That is the stuff that alters gender hormones. Just my views from living in rural Pennsylvania.
