Kasich Delaware County Visit

Kasich Delaware County VisitKasich Delaware County Visit — Ohio Gov. John Kasich, who has absolutely no chance of becoming the Republican nominee via the primary process, will be bringing his presidential campaign to Delaware County, Thursday, April 21 at the Penn State Brandywine Campus Commons Building, 25 Yearsley Mill Road, Media (Middletown Township) Pa., 19o63.

Doors open at 1:30 p.m., and the program runs 2:30 -4.

Sign up early here as they will likely be turning people away due to the massive crowd.

Just kidding.

Actually, we suspect they will manage to fill the venue due to the Governor’s support among party regulars and those with government jobs but  can you seriously imagine Donald Trump picking the Brandywine Campus Commons Building as a site for an event?

  1. If anyone DOES decide to attend this, Kasich should be asked about Common Core. He says that he is in favor of Common Core BUT is opposed to federal standards. He can’t have it both ways; the two situations are antithetical! He either does NOT understand Common Core OR he is deliberately misleading the public. States who sign on to CC are required to use federal standards. (They can only add 15% to these standards but cannot remove any of them.)

When he was asked at the PA LEadership Conference how he could be in favor of Common Core but opposed to federal standards, he insisted that “IN OHIO” the local school boards determine the curriculum and that they are not dictated to by the Feds. REALLY? He kept insisting and insisting that the OHIO is in charge of their own standards. Thou dost protest too much, Governor Kasich. THis can’t be!

I wouldn’t waste my time going to this, but if someone does, please ask him about this. The fact that he obviously has such misconceptions and misunderstandings about Common Core makes me wonder what ELSE he is clueless about.

  2. Governor Kasich is NOT clueless. Compared to Trump on foreign policy, budget, security, compassion, jobs, and yes, Education. Get to know him. If you listen to this speech, that I think is going to be remembered in the decades to come, you may appreciate that he doesn’t “dump down” in one word syllables like Trump (old sales gimmick). http://www.johnkasich.com/twopaths
