Valerie Arkoosh, current Chair of the Montgomery County Board of Commissioners and retired anesthesiologist (she “specialized” in the OR for pregnant women who were undergoing Cesarean births or other procedures requiring anesthesia) calls pregnant women “pregnant people.” At a recent commissioners meeting, I asked her how many times she witnessed a man give birth.
No answer.
By the way, when she last renewed her medical license in December 2020, she changed her position from anesthesiologist to surgeon. When I asked her about that, again no answer. She was never a surgeon.
A heads up: If Shapiro becomes governor, Arkoosh will most likely be his pick for PA Secretary of Health. God help us all.
